We are frequent renters and this is by far one of our favorites. First the bad...there is none. The only problem we had was leaving and the fact we don't own it. Now on to the good. I apologize in advance if this is lengthy but here goes. This house is filled with love. You can sense it as soon as you enter through the fence. The house is set back from the extremely quiet road. Little to no traffic. The yard is natural and lush. Trees that look like they are old and the very essence of days gone by. Upon entering the front door you are greeted by a very up to date kitchen with beautiful granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Hard wood floors throughout in a wide old world plank. Windows and natural light are plenty and fabulous. The decor is a combination of modern and a little rustic with a sprinkle of antiques. It shouldn't work but somehow it all comes together with an eclectic southern charm. This house is clean. No dust bunnies, rust, mold etc... Even the baseboards are clean. Something I struggle with in my own home. There are small touches throughout that are not only thoughtful but nice. Like a jewelry case in the huge master closet. Not that I have anything to put in it but something I never would have thought of. A pack & play for those with babies. The list is endless. From the lovely quilts to the comfy furniture. This house is by no means stuffy, stark or museum feeling. You want to come in, make yourself at home and put your feet up. In our experience with renting some places are totally wiped out whether by owners or cleaning crew. This is not. There is toilet paper, paper towels, aluminum foil, salt pepper, sugar, spices, hand soap etc....plenty to get you started. Again a very thoughtful gesture. Lastly, the non existent back yard. At least as we know it. This back yard is natures finest. If we sat inside and watched wildlife from one of the many windows our vacation would be complete. But what, if anything, could make it even more fantastic?? A private pier with running water and electricity. Kayak, jet ski or have a boat dropped off right at the dock or just sit and fish. I forgot to mention the ocean is right across the street. We couldn't quiet get enough of this place to really care but it's there. Walk or drive the golf cart. I really need extra space to write all the wonderful things about this house and by the way if it ever goes on the market again...we call dibs. Tee Hee!!!
