About this property

201 E Cooper Ave - Unit A

  • Come relax and enjoy Folly Beach in our 2 bedroom unit located above Bert's Market! From this prime location, you are a 2 minute walk to both the beach and Center Street, as well as a 5 minute walk to the Folly Pier. And, of course, you are a 10 second walk to the front doors of Bert's, which is open 24/7/365, and where you can find almost anything you may need, including conventional and organic groceries, hand-scooped local ice cream, toiletries, beer & wine, deli sandwiches, beach goods and more.

    In addition to the prime location, our unit is packed with creature comforts, including heart pine flooring throughout, king memory foam beds, a Sony 5.1 Digital Surround Sound Theater with a 60" Sony Bravia TV in the living room and a 42" Sony Bravia TV in the bedroom with bunks. We have HD DirectTV, including HBO, and both TV's are equipped with active Netflix accounts. Our unit is equipped with a Netgear Orbi mesh network, providing coverage over the entire property - inside and out - and yielding download speeds of 250mbps and up. Streaming HD content, or supporting any other business or leisure online needs, is not a problem.

    The main indoor areas follow an open space design, with the living room, dining area and kitchen all connecting without walls. It's a wonderful setup for enjoying time with family and friends. Both bedrooms in the unit feature king memory foam mattresses, with one of the bedrooms also containing built-in bunks that sleep an additional two people (fits kids AND most adults).

    Outside, you can enjoy a communal front porch that includes a large table with seating. There is also a private back porch - a great location for some solitude (and a quick view of the ocean!). If you are in the mood for grilling out, or just enjoying the salt water beach air, there is a communal outdoor kitchen on the lower level, as well as a gas fire pit with ample seating and cafe lighting. Want to grill and enjoy a big game? We have an outdoor Skyvue TV with a DirecTV NOW subscription, as well as Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime - all apps signed into and ready to go!

Great time in Folly beach

Great stay, needs some cleaning

Pros: check in was easy and communication with the hosts was great. They always answered any questions I had. The space was big and as a group we never felt like we were on top of each other. The location was great, we could walk to all the restaurants and to the beach no problem. Cons: the floors were not clean. And the second to last day we saw a roach on the desk that is in one of the bedrooms.

I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. Its a very spacious and comfy place. It can definitely get a little loud having the restaurant next door but the live music there is an absolute vibe. My only issues were that the floor was a bit dirty, our feet looked like we had been walking barefoot outside all day. There was also only one or two rolls of toilet paper and I believe only one roll of papertowel. There were also no extra trash bags. Bert's is literally right there so it wasnt a huge deal, just a little inconvenient it wasnt stocked. I'd book here again in a heart beat though. Such a great locations from the nightlife and the beach+

This property is close to anything you desire. Park your car and don't get in it again until it's time to head home. The style and effort put into the decor is much appreciated. The beds are clean and more comfortable than my own home. Pets are welcome, which is a must for me. After a long day on the beach, you can open the windows and enjoy the live music from next door - always a great performance. I have stayed at this property multiple times and look forward to returning.

We stayed for a short stay over Easter with our family. The unit was perfect, and the convenience to the beach and Bert’s was excellent. The beds were also very comfortable. My daughter loved the toys provided! The music from Chico Feo is pretty loud in the main bedroom, but we didn’t mind and it didn’t go very late.

Incredible location in the heart of the action

This place is ideal for folks that want to be in the middle of everything. Across the street view of Chico Feo live music every night and above 24/7 Bert’s market. Not a quiet beach bungalow, this is a party pad location. It wasn’t crazy loud but there are bands and ppl around until late evening every weekend.

We really enjoyed this property. It is walking distance to everything. We had a small issue with rhe AC but Omar & Julia responded quickly and had it fixed right away! Chico Feo generally had ok music & I knew it would be loud, which we were prepared for. Music was only awful one night but we just went to Planet Follywood and then sat on the beach until it was over! I would stay here again.

Furnishings are fun and eclectic and the beds are SO comfortable - we didn't want to leave! Location is not right above Bert's market but super close. We were right across from a restaurant/bar and we had the opportunity to stand out on the back porch to listen to the performers on the outdoor stage. That was neat! We would totally come back here again!

Our stay at your rental by the beach was great! The place is adorable, and conveniently located near the beach and walking to all the great restaurants in Folly. We'll definitely be back! I highly recommend it. It's nestled in a great little neighborhood right next door to a 24-7 quaint grocery with fresh home-cooked breakfast sandwiches and a great deli daily.
