Pros: It had pleasant staff.
Cons: Train the pleasant staff better.
Location: Location was in the middle of nowhere, but boating, convenience store and fishing where all there at the location.
Location was on the beach and pleasant. Staff were helpful. We did have to search for our own bath towels and bathroom items on a few occasions. The bathroom was extremely small. The restaurant on site was closed for remodeling, but a decent continental breakfast was served.

Beautiful location!!

Posted 02-Jun-2017
The resort was beautiful, nice rooms, clean, great mattress.... the shower water was the only downside . I've been to a lot of hotels, I know there are always some issues with the water going hot or cold during the showering process, but this was super low pressure and extreme hot or extreme cold , at 3pm!!! Worse in the a.m. Was sorry about this because we really liked the hotel and location.

Not enough stars for this beautiful experience.

Posted 01-Jun-2017
Location is quiet, tropical, and calm. Within driving distance to numerous restaurants, shopping, recreation....or you may just stay and relax at the hotel grounds. Friendly staff, we did not want to leave. Definitely a return destination. Soon!

Dump and a huge ripoff

Posted 01-Jun-2017
Huge gaps around doors and vinyl blinds dont close properly allowed people outside to see inside the rooms and thus no privacy at all. I wont use Expedia anymore because you and hotels like this are peddling lies and ripping people off with no ability to retrieve my money. I am going to tell everyone that Expedia is a ripoff and to not use you as well.

Awsome view in the ocean view rooms.

Posted 20-May-2017
Pros: Ocean view.
The bathroom in the room was no good, specifically the toilet flush was terrible, no air conditioning in the restroom, that was the only negative point.

Quiet, clean, relaxing

Posted 10-May-2017
Quiet, convenient location. Walked out the door onto the beach. Clean room and well maintained beach, pool, and grounds. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Restaurant right next door where continental breakfast is served. Basic breakfast but good enough. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation. Probably not ideal for younger crowd wanting nightlife and partying but perfect for us. Patio with rocking chairs in front of room was perfect for watching the beautiful sunset!

Modernized "old Florida Keys"

Posted 05-May-2017
Pros: The recent renovations of the rooms were very well done.
We have stayed at Lime Tree Bay Resort many times over the last 25 years. It is a wonderful escape from big City life and 5 star hotels. It is a quiet respite with an endless horizon over the Florida Bay and Gulf waters. We enjoyed Kayaking and Snorkeling with access less than 100 feet from our room. Bring your e-reader and relax.

Fine resort, but don't stay "off campus"

Posted 30-Apr-2017
Pros: Small, quiet, nice resort/pool area.
Cons: Get rid of the off-campus units. Really, really disappointing. It'd be nice if the beach area was better tended as well.
Location: There's a well-rated italian restaurant within the resort area that was unfortunately disappointing. Drive elsewhere.
Lime Tree bay is fine (albeit a little expensive for what you get), but whatever you do, DO NOT let them place you in their "off-campus" rooms. They have a building with four rooms across the street, facing a dingy canal inlet and seated next to a mechanic's and an abandoned lot. The rooms there are okay (the bathroom was pretty bad, but the rest was fine, if very unattractive), and parking/access is fine, but you're cut off from the resort proper across the street.

All about that sunset view

Posted 26-Apr-2017
Pros: Balconies in the first building and accessible to a lot of things in the Keys.
Cons: Bathroom needed an update. Not a lot of food choices in the area.
Location: Easy to get to many state parks, Key West & Largo.
We loved the balcony in the first building in the Hemingway suite. It's not really a suite, there is no couch, just a room with a kitchenette. The bathroom was an accessible one and badly in need of updating but it was functional. I wasn't aware it was that type of room when I booked it. However, it is not about the room, but the view. The sunsets were worth the price of admission. We also saw a sting ray jumping out of the water one evening. We used the kayaks that are available, one morning and that was very nice. Breakfast was typical but not many choices. I'd stay here again as it was very relaxing. Old style hotel

Nice Resort On the Beach

Posted 24-Apr-2017
Pros: Everything :)
Cons: later hours for kayak use.
Location: location is great. lots of activities near and far.
Good experience, second time there. Love the amenities and continental breakfast. Very family friendly environment. Wish we could use the kayaks for later hours in the evening (my only "complaint"!). I love that it is "low key" and not commercialized. This is my go to place for vacation in the keys!
