Staying here was not a great experience. I will say the check-in went smoothly and the host communicated fine, but it was one of those where they provide little and expect the guest to do the work.Many of the dishes in the cabinets were not clean and we had to clean them ourselves before using them. Given that we largely booked Vrbo instead of a hotel so we could cook, this was very frustrating. The dishes probably weren't clean because dish soap is not provided. When I requested more toilet paper plus the missing dish soap, the host told me that they do not provide amenities like this. For me, these seem very essential to staying anywhere and don't expect to provide them myself. I don't understand how they expect to have a kitchen and have people cook without giving them a way to wash dishes. We ended up buying our own dish soap/toilet paper out of necessity, so it definitely left a bad impression.The apartment is also extremely loud; it's only 1 floor up and the bedroom faces the street where you can hear cars/footsteps/music, most likely due to old windows. We blasted white noise on our phones to help us sleep which helped, but it's not ideal.They also ask you to take out the trash, which is 2 blocks away and quite inconvenient in the flurry of check out. The air conditioning was good. But overall we definitely wouldn't recommend anyone else book here unless you don't plan to be in it much.
