Great location. Low floor with little stairs. Felt safe. We were afraid it would be loud because it is close to the station. The noise of garbage pick up in the night was present but the station was not noisy at all.

Great surprise

We stayed for 3 nights. The place was nice and pretty modern. Very clean. Close to the train station and walking distance to so many great restaurants, shopping, Duomo. Would definitely use again when we go back to Florence

Good location but shabby with unbearable noise

Great location, close to both the railway station and the downdown. At check-in, you pay extra after 8pm. Despite we had to wait 20+ minutes at the gate. The apartment is shabby, the size is way smaller than stated in the ad (app. 50sqm). Room windows directly face selective waste containers in the street. Waste is removed very early in the morning with unbearable noise.

Don't look too closely...

Myself, spouse, & in-laws stayed in the Santa Maria Novella flat for four nights in Apr '24. We were very disappointed. We were allowed to drop our luggage early & checked in about 11:30h. Check-in went smoothly but no receipt was issued for the Florence tourist tax (required to be paid in cash - not disclosed in posting!). We should have looked around the flat more than we did during check-in. Was it safe? Yes. Was it located within a block of the main train station and 2 grocery stores? Yes. But in a flat that can accommodate 6, you'd think there would be a way to make coffee for everyone. You'd think there would be a place for 6 to sit comfortably around the table. You'd think there would be a way to clean your dishes & dry your hands in the kitchen. You'd think there would be a trash bag into which you could put said trash. You'd be wrong in thinking any of these things here. There was only an old 2-serving Bialetti in the kitchen, no trash bags, no dish cloth or scouring pad, no coffee / salt / pepper / olive oil, no toaster or toaster oven, only 4 dishwasher tablets, & mould in the hot water kettle. The bathrooms were similar: mildew lined part of the shower stall & bathroom window corners, only 4 rolls of toilet paper were provided, at least 2 light bulbs were burnt out, & the floors were visibly unswept. One bedroom was equipt with a ceiling fan (quite welcome) but were also visibly unswept with cobwebs around the ceiling & a thick layer of dust atop the shelf unit.

Florence Convenience!

Super convenient to the train station, museums and restaurants. The property does have a heavy gate that bangs loudly and only one couch to sit on comfortably... but wasn't much of a problem for us. The host met up with us at arrival and was very courteous and helpful. We highly recommend this property.

Nice place but some lacking

It’s a nice place to stay but we only got 1 key. The other key is for another unit but they bother figuring out how we get it switched to the right one. The area is nice, very close to Florence main train station; however it could be sketchy at night around the area The shower leaks out and the AC drops water all the time

I need of Maintenance

Not a clean place. Janitor left a bag of soiled linens in our room from previous occupants. Shower curtain does not go to bottom of shower and floods the bathroom. Windows do not function. Black mold in bathroom and bedroom.
