It is right on the Palazzo Vecchio and a five minute walk to the Uffizi and 7 minutes to Ponte Vecchio and the Arno. It was very clean and the views amazing. The only thing to be aware of is that both of the beds are up a metal spiral staircase and in a loft space with no walls, and you have to stoop to get from one bed to the other. The property managers allowed us to drop their bags at their office, just a five minute walk from the flat so we could get going on shopping and site seeing before check in was ready. They walked us through everything at check in and everything went very well. There is even a washer and dryer we used to run a little laundry. The only downside we could find was the beds and pillows seemed to be very hard and the sheets were a little on the rougher side also. Interesting space, but I would not call it loft, this is some sort of attic space repurposed as a room. It does not even have proper entry door. All normal apartments are down below. Pictures make it look a little bigger than it is actually is. There windows facing all 4 sides, but some of them are tiny and in the bathroom, so no 360 degree view either. One of the windows is actually pretty scary since it is leaning outside and I have a feeling might fell off. It developed large gaps on the side and looses lots of air. Apartment partially overlooks the roof. Beds are on the upper level and it can be somewhat hot in there. You have to be careful not to hit your head. Location is very convenient. Listing does not mention that host will collect hefty city tax in cash, $5 per day per person. You will get no receipt. Other listing in Sorrento did the same to me, except an apartment in Naples, where I got the key from a lock box and did not have to meet anyone.
