  • Enjoy the charms of the Florence Historic centre and the S. Croce lifestyle during your stay. Strategic location: every Florence historic centre site is walkable from the Maia apt (Uffizi, San Marco, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio, Santa Maria Novella, Piazzale MIchelangelo..). It is a lovely nest just remodeled down to the last details to make your stay comfortable and romantic: oak-beamed, wood ceiling and parquet, chip in making a warm atmosphere



    The Space
    Central, light and very quiet, the Maia is a charming and lovely vacation rental set on pretty street in Santa Croce area. The apartment consists of: 1 bright living room with sofa-bed; extendable dining table to seat six, TV and fully fitted kitchen ; 1 master bedroom with double bed, TV, chest of drawers, french window; 1 small bathroom with shower; 1 loft bedroom with closet and 2 single bed: one bed upstairs, one high-quality pouf bed (which can accommodate guests of any age) downstairs. Oak-beamed, and parquet in every bedroom.

    The Neighborhood
    Enjoy the charms of the Florence Historic center and Santa Croce lifestyle during your stay in Florence. A variety of attractions are only a short walk away. The apartment is located at the second floor of a just refurbished old and typical building, near to the most famous sites: few minutes from Santa Croce church, Dome, Ponte Vecchio, Bargello and Uffizi. Santa Croce is one of the most cool and popular florentine locations. The area is lined with restaurants, cafés, shopping spots (email hidden)ly atmosphere. Stroll down to the Macci’s street in S. Ambrogio area you'll find the lively famous food market with all kind of fresh products. There you will also find a pay and display parking. Do visit the Ciompi square with its antiquities market. Finally, I am a good cooker and food lover, so just ask for restaurant recommendations!
    Getting around
    Car Not Necessary.
    The Florence old town centre is full of pedestrian areas, small and easy to visit walking . Anyway the Maia apt is 205 mt far away from the pay and display parking of S.Ambrogio.
    The Maia apt is close enough to walk to all of the sites:
    4 minutes from the Santa Croce church
    13 minutes from Piazza Signoria and the Uffizi
    14 minutes from the Dome
    9 minutes from Bargello
    15 minutes from Ponte Vecchio

    Note – the apt has two separate bedrooms so it is perfect for families of 4 or for a couple. The additional two sleeping accommodations are in the living room sofa-bed.
    The wood staircase in the little loft room is steep.
    The building staircase is easy anyway we want to underline that it is a walk up building (NO LIFT)

We enjoyed our stay in Florence, the apartment was located in a quiet area with an easy walk to get to all the sights and museums. The apartment was nice and the host was helpful.

Extremely disappointing stay. The apartment was completely different from what we expected based on the listing and information provided. The rooms were dirty, we had leaking water, there were bedbugs, and some of the information provided about the property was inaccurate. The stairs were also broken and felt unsafe. When we needed help, the host was not responsive enough, which made an already bad situation even more frustrating. The sleeping arrangements were another major issue. The second bedroom was very poorly set up, especially for a couple. The beds and furniture were badly organized and the room was uncomfortable and impractical. Overall, the apartment was poorly maintained, badly organized, and did not match the standard presented in the listing. Cleanliness, safety, communication, and sleeping arrangements were all unacceptable. This was a terrible experience for our group, and we would absolutely not recommend Mia Apartment in Florence to other travellers.

Cozy stay in heart of florence

We had a lovely stay in the apartment which is comfortable, accurate to the photos and well-stocked. Eugenia was very responsive and welcoming, and the location was within close walking distance of all important sights. Would recommend!

Eugenia is amazing & responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had. She gave us thorough directions with a long list of recommendations. The location of this apartment is perfect & we had a lot of fun in Florence!

Loved It!

What a great property! Eugenia was a wonderful host. She was very helpful with all of our questions. The apartment was perfect for my family of four. It allowed us space, separate sleeping quarters, and a wonderful neighbourhood with many dining/shopping options. I would absolutely recommend this property.

Quaint and charming apartment in a great location!

We really enjoyed our stay at this quaint and charming apartment. It is perfectly situated close to many must see locations. It is a very quiet location and the host Eugenia was very communicative and checked in and answered all my questions as needed. It was easy to find and the check in and check out was easy. We would stay here again with no hesitation. The bathroom is small but similar in size to other locations we have stayed in throughout Europe. We appreciated having a washing machine for laundry as well and the laundry was dry overnight. Thank you!

Florence apt close to all

Great location. Close to everything.Apt is quiet and we walked everywhere.As the listing states no elevator which was not an issue for us only when bringing luggage upstairs.Owner responded quickly to all questions regarding heat, restaurants etc.Please note there are multiple comments on the "small" bathroom and shower which are all true. We are not tall so no issue which shower other than bathroom shows signs of age (building is old but rest of apartment renovated. Pictures of everything but bathroom in listing.

Good location

Within walking distance of most sights. You had to climb up a very steep and narrow ladder to get up to the 2nd bed which was a just a single bed. Air conditioner in that bedroom leaked water all over the luggage. Pullout bed was in the kitchen. We do not recommend this place if there are more than two adults. Bring spices if you plan on cooking, all the spice jars are empty. Could use some updates or maintenance.

Two days in Florence

The location of this apartment was ideal for seeing all of the popular tourist places in Florence, most of them were only a 15-20 minute walk or less. Host was communicative on whatsapp but didn’t see messages for a while on VRBO so would recommend only using whatsapp to communicate. Shower is VERY small, but was doable. Could have used more sheets/pillows/blankets for the cot. Also one morning we were woken up to a housekeeper who came to bring more towels but we were not given prior warning of this so we were a little startled when a man kept knocking on our door but the host messaged us when he got there and I hadn’t checked my phone yet. Overall the location made this a great two day experience in Florence.

This location was perfectly located. In a quiet part of town but close enough walk to all the sites. The suite was clean, and had three air conditioners to keep it cool/cold at all times :) Eugenia was an awesome host who responded to any questions we had extremely fast. Highly recommend this location and would definitely go back.

Fantastic location and cute apartment. We could walk down the street to San Croce to the Christmas Market every evening. Wonderful coffee shop for breakfast around the corner and excellent restaurants nearby.

Good value

The location was great. The apartment suited our needs but be ware the shower is very small. I believe this is typical for Europe so it is not an issue just for awareness. Communication with the owner was great. It’s a charming apartment.

Kitchen could use a spatula Which we purchase and left thereIt is 42 steps up and no elevator One bedroom like a bunk bed up a ladder.Just good for child.Would not suggest this for older peopleWashroom had mold in showerAnd a large dead plant in livingroom.It was in a good location with a grocery store around corner and could walk to center town.We were happy about that but disappointed in the whole set up
