Spacious 160 sqm home located in a historic Florentine palace with an elevator, just a few minutes’ walk from the Duomo and the Uffizi. Ideal for families or groups, it comfortably accommodates up to 4+2 guests.

High ceilings, generous rooms, and an airy layout make this home extremely rare in Florence’s historic center. The presence of an elevator in the building is also an uncommon feature in historic Florentine palaces.

1 mezzanine (open space) with two comfortable sofa beds (120 cm x 200 cm)

The two-level layout ensures independence and tranquility, while the en-suite bedrooms provide privacy and comfort.

The spacious living room is perfect for relaxing after a day spent exploring museums or shopping.

The dining area is welcoming and seats up to six guests around a design table, while the fully equipped kitchen allows you to enjoy the home as if it were your own.

On the mezzanine level there is also a laundry area with separate washing machine and dryer, ironing board, and iron. The laundry is supplied with all necessary detergents.

Central yet quiet location

The apartment offers the perfect balance: central enough to walk to Florence’s most iconic landmarks, yet located away from the busiest tourist streets.

The Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery, and the Accademia are all within easy walking distance.

The apartment is located in a historic Florentine building with an elevator. Please note that once inside the apartment there are internal stairs leading to the upper level where part of the sleeping area is located.

Amazing 3 night stay

We (family of 5 adults) stayed 3 nights at Matilda’s property in the middle of our 12 night trip to France and Italy. It is exactly as the pictures show and even more charming in person. Stocked with everything you need, including a washer/dryer which was a welcome perk. We were exhausted after arriving by train from Nice and Matilda recommended a local restaurant Fuoco Matto, which was steps away and fantastic. Florence is beautiful and wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend this property!

The apartment and its location were fabulous. 10 minutes from train station, we walked to all attractions. Delicious food options minutes from our front door. Only glitch for our visit was television was out due to storms prior to arrival. Provider was supposed to have it back in service within 48 hours but never worked. Don’t blame host for this issue. Loved our stay in Florence and would stay here again! Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Absolutely amazing home. Matilda checked us in and provided all the information we needed. The home is spacious and easily accommodated 6 of us. Matilda’s place was a masterpiece, every little detail, the house scents, the rugs, the furniture, the amenities , the books, the paintings, the chandelier, the coffee, the shampoo and body wash, mattresses and comforters, every single detail was a delight, the space is very classy and modern combined, spotless, elegant, and comfortable. Home away from HOme

This apartment was very comfortable and tastefully designed. In a perfect location just out of the hussle of the centre of Florence. Our host Matilda was very welcoming and took us through all we needed to know for our stay. The apartment was equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed our stay, experiences in the Chianti region and meeting the friendly locals. Would highly recommend this property if you want to be close to all the sites.

Nice Location in Florence

This was a very spacious spot easily able to accommodate 6 people comfortably. Nice modern furnishings and only a 10 minute or so walk to the train station. Everything you need is furnished and Matilda was a great host. Only drawback is the bedrooms are on the top level requiring 2 flights of stairs and 4 more steps to get to the bathroom from the bedroom & the master bedrooms bathroom has no shower or bath.

Florence retreat

Beautiful very well appointed three level apartment. Within walking distance to major attractions and restaurants. One bedroom is a very nice en suite. The other bedroom is very spacious and also nice but does not have a shower as a part of the en suite so have to go down two levels to shower. It is a very secure apartment in a nice area and has a lift which was great for our luggage.

The apartment is very large and decorated immaculately. There are 2 1/2 bathrooms, a nice kitchen, and 2 large bedrooms as well as a loft with alarge sofa bed. Matilda, the owner, is a pleasure to work with and graciously answered all of our questions. The apartment is easily walkable to everything in the city center. It is also very close to the train station. I honestly can't think of anything negative about the experience.

Matilda was a great host. Communication was wonderful. The apartment is very clean, fresh and beautiful. Views from the windows are amazing and apartment was very quiet. Towels/Linens were plentiful and smelled great. The elevator was nice for getting luggage up and down. The neighborhood was safe. We walked everywhere we went everyday - even to the train station with all our luggage. We would definitely stay there again. I can’t say enough nice things about our experience. Our family of 4 adults stayed here for three nights and was very pleased. Matilda is a prompted communicator and accommodating host. The apartment was clean, secure, comfortable, spacious, and had many amenities that made our stay enjoyable. While there were a few quirks that would've made our stay perfect, such as installing a window covering in the upstairs bathroom for added privacy while showering, and having the ability to control the air conditioning as the apartment, at times, became quite cold during the day and somewhat warm at night, we enjoyed returning to the space after long days of tours and shopping. It felt like returning home.

Spacious and elegant flat

This rental has plenty of space to spread out and relax. It’s well supplied with all kinds of amenities such as towels, extra TP, kitchen soaps, espresso pods, sugar, tea…really anything you need to feel at home. It was very clean and well maintained. We felt very secure in the building with the multi layers of security doors. Just be aware that there are stairs, two flights to the bedrooms. Overall, we loved this property and would recommend it to anyone. Matilda was very responsive to all communications. She even picked up our laundry and had it done for us when the washer was broken! Fantastic apartment

We loved our stay in this modern apartment. The location was perfect – we could easily walk to all the major sights, the train station was easy to reach, but since the apartment was just outside the city center, it was a less busy area. And the apartment was on the opposite side from the street, essentially eliminating any outside noise, with a beautiful view of the Tuscan hills.The apartment itself was very well-equipped and it felt like a home away from home. We really appreciated having all the essentials like towels and kitchen supplies on hand. And the laundry facilities, with a regular washer and dryer, were a great perk.Matilda was super helpful and very responsive throughout the whole process. She answered all of our questions and gave us some wonderful recommendations for local restaurants. We highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Florence. It made our trip so much more enjoyable. We can’t wait to visit again!

Beautiful and great location

Beautiful property! We were here for 3 days with another couple. Having a nice large living room where we could all sit comfortably was perfect. So was the dining area. The kitchen has a full complement of dishes and pans. Coffee, tea, sugar, salt and pepper are included. The property is a short walk from the train station. (Note the streets and sidewalks make it more difficult to lug large suitcases - not a property issue) and easy walking distance to Uffizi and Academia. Bathrooms are supplied with shampoo, conditioner and soap. Be aware, stairs are included and some are steep. The owner uses essential oils which are quite fragrant, which for us, was really the only negative.

outstanding apartment, very kind and helpful host

We spent a wonderful week at Matildas splendid apartment. The Apartment is located next to Piazza della Indipendencia, just a few minutes walk away from Central Market and within walking distance to the duomo and the main attractions you want to see in Florence. After strolling around in vibrant Florence for several hours we always loved to return to this peaceful and tastefully equipped place, enjoying the aircondition and spaciousness as well as having some coffee and sweets or some pasta and wine (bought fresh pasta at Central Market!). Matilda, our host was always helpful in every respect as well as very quickly responding to all of our questions. She arranged, that our son and his fiancée who joined us and our daughter for a few days and arrived earlier, could already get into the appartment before we arrived and answered our questions throughout the whole stay very quickly. The Apartment is very clean and very well equipped in every respect. Beds are very comfortable (a really big one in the masterbedroom), showers work very well even high up under the roof. Stairs in the apartment were no problem for us but would be for handicapped people and might be for families with small children. We highly recommend this outstanding place to anyone who wants to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing stay in a tastefull surrounding in wonderful Florence.
