Location was in an area that was very walkable and attractions were close by. The rooms my group and I stayed in are run down and in need of serious renovation. The room's electrical sockets in the wall were loose and didn’t work. None of the minibar fridges worked. The windows in the bathroom were missing curtains, and the window glass is not one-way. And, in room 35, the sink plumbing was held together with duct tape. It was an unpleasant experience for my entire group. It certainly wasn't worth the 3-star hotel price. Check in desk closes at 8:30 pm so if you arrive later even though someone will meet you there to give you your room key, there will be no information on breakfast cost, hours or any special request you may have. The air conditioner never worked properly so we had to open the windows which means all the noise from the street traffic and people walking were heard. First, I was recommended to this hotel by one of the owners of a restaurant located in the main Piazza. Overall, I had a good stay, the hotel was in good condition, the room was clean and it was located one block (3 min walking) from the heart of Florence. However, the most important thing I would like to mention is the great service provided by the staff. They were extremely helpful, friendly, and nice and this is to me why this is a great hotel.
