Marco, the main staff I dealt with, is an extremely nice guy and helpful, giving me a map and explaining the city. All other staff I dealt with were also extremely helpful and friendly. The location is absolutely perfect only being a 3 minute walk to the Duomo and being in the centre so anywhere you want to go is only a short walk. Thankfully there is a small elevator. Check in was easy with friendly and helpful staff. You can rent a room or a whole apartment. Somehow we ended up with the whole apartment. It was great, spacious, had a kitchen with full fridge and washing machine. Just down the street where a bunch of restaurants. Neighborhood was safe and walkable, centrally located. We had a small but comfortable room with a shared bathroom (there were 2 in the hall) and while I initially was anxious about that, not once did we ever feel like it was shared. The staff keeps the hotel and bathrooms INCREDIBLY clean; you don’t even get the feeling that there are others staying there. The location is also incredible - everything is within 15 mins walking. Très bien situé à 5min à pied du Duomo. Marco est super et trouve toujours une solution pour rendre service (parking, ventilateur quand il fait trop chaud, grand frigo à partager avec les autres voyageurs) Possible de se garer gratuitement dans la court de l'immeuble hors weekend attention. Dans ce cas il faut le parking en face de l'hôtel (laisser vos clefs au voiturier qui manoeuvre les voitures suivant le besoin) ou parking du marché 39€ /jour couvert en sous sol. Comme précisé la salle de bain et wc sont à partager sur le palier avec les autres voyageurs. Pas de clim dans les chambres. I enjoyed staying in this hotel. It was as I expected given the price I paid and the location. This is a small hotel in a traditional Italian building, right in the centre of the tourist area of Florence. I stayed in Mid Oct, so heat wasn't a problem, however I can see that Florence would be a nightmare in July heat wise. The weather was great (about 25 degrees) and I would recommend visiting Florence out of season unless you love being very hot! The lift worked fine. I appreciated the fridge and kettle in the room (and access to a freezer in the communal areas) The whole place was spotless and they had 2 very clean and up to date bathrooms. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The only downside for me was that I accidentally tripped the electrics in my room late at night. however I just went to bed and got the cleaner to sort it out in the morning! However, at least I know the electrics are safe! One thing about the area that you might find helpful, the Carrefour express opposite the hotel is very expensive, however there is another about 3 minutes walk away which is much cheaper.
