The apartment was very nice, clean, comfortable, close to the city center and had a few grocery shops nearby. It wasn't in the nicest, fanciest area of the city but it had some very nice restaurants nearby and it was a quiet, pleasant neighbourhood. The train station was literally 5 minutes away on foot if one's interested to take a trip somewhere like we were. Over all it was great value for money and would definitely stay there again.

The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The location of the property was about 10 mins walk from the main centre which saved lot of our time.

Early Arrivals are a huge inconvenience
Must make appointment after 3 p.m. to check-in. So early arrivals must check bags at the train station which is expensive. Toilet seat did not fit the toilet and kept falling off. Had to wait until after 3 p.m. to talk with someone the next day. It was NEVER fixed. Called the following day to ask about repair and was told there were no seats to replace that one. Then the manager blamed us for breaking the seat. I explained it did not fit to begin with, which he would have known if he had even looked at it. He refused to do anything about it during our stay. Outside is a lot of construction which seems to be the root of a terrible smell. No cleaning nor change of towels during stay!!!!

The person checking us in was not friendly nor welcoming. We were just another foreign customer being checked and there was no reason to be friendly (perhaps the man only check in American language and did not want to encourage conversation with a smile). When we arrived we opened the window to observe the enclosed court yard. It was dark and un kept. We immediately shut the window, and never reopened it. We got bitten by mosquitoes every night. We either let them all in, the one time we opened the window or they were in the corridors and rooms at all times. The room was clean and beds were ok. The shower had no stall nor tub, it was a depression in the floor tile and bathroom would flood with water, after showers. Check out is immediately at 10. Keys are instructed to be left in a box before or by 10. Someone shows up in a hurry at 10 to retrieve the keys and inspect the room. We will not choose Gemini studios again.

Dear anonymous, hiding behind anonymity does not allow me to understand who you are and which one of my staff was present at check-in and then your review does not help me to understand if what you wrote corresponds to the truth or simply is your impression and perhaps exaggerated. I am sorry that because of the mosquitoes you have decided that our structure is not suitable for your probable future stay; however I can assure you that you can find mosquitoes all over the world, even in Alaska. I am sure that, thanks to the 7.5 billion world population, we will certainly be able to continue to survive without you. Good bless you and wishing you a wonderful life.

A nice place to stay
Location is good, just around 10 minutes walk from the train station. Spacious and clean, good for 3 persons to stay. There has supermarket and a lot of restaurants near the train station. Easy to buy food to make your own breakfast or dine out. If they can improve the washroom to have a close shower stall, it would be prefect. Right now the shower is with the toilet bowl together, after you take the shower the floor will get wet, if your slipper is the kind of one time use hotel slipper, when you use the toilet bowl later after the shower, you may get wet of your feet. Try to bring plastic slipper. The other thing is it is not that sound proof, you can hear people speaking in next room. But this is the structure work, Gemini cannot do anything on it. Therefore, if you are a light sleeper, you have to aware this and may be considered to bring a pair of ear plug. Other than that, everything is good and value for money.

Old and Dated
Firstly the walls are so thin you can hear your neighbors talking. Our room had a terrible smell much like an open sewer that we couldn’t get rid of. No point going to the office to ask for a different room because once we checked in the office worker promptly disappeared. There is no shower just a space between the toilet and bidet with a shower curtain around it. The hot water service is inside the bathroom which meant it’s like a smelly sauna if you don’t leave the extraction fan on. The iron in our room had exposed bare copper wiring on the lead so we decided not to use it! For the price we paid, we were very disappointed.

Dear Customer, rather than complaint of everything next time you know you can use the telephone to call for assistance? Also what you have paid is half price against hotels rates and you get an apartment, i suggest you go to a hotel next time rather than choose a cheaper property and maybe pretend luxurious furniture, if you check carefully in the description you got it what it was advertise (can you read and understand on the same time?).

Dear Guest, rather than say not suitable for tourists I would say not suitable for "me" try to learn how to write if you are not able to do go back to school and learn. We do not pretend to be suitable for every one certanley we offer much better things than many others in town, therefore your opinion do not count to us as because you don't even say anything specific what was wrong. shame on you and you sould not go out of your dormitory.

3 blocks close to train station with kitchen
This studio is close to train station, it is a nice and quite studio. It has a small kitchen. If you are going with children you will save a lot! Small market are a block away outside the train station, buy pasta and cook. There is another market but 5 blocks away there, ask the receptionist. If you are a couple and do not need to cook, at the corner you have a cafeteria $3.50 and around the corner you have a delicious restaurant, the Lady-Owner is super nice and the prices are great $8.00+.they have gelatto, too. If you are early for check-in, go there with your luggage and eat while waiting for the receptionist to open the studio. They need to improve the air condition system but even of that, it was good.(They informed they will buy new ones).32C in July. If you need a phone, the receptionist can help you to contact your tour. He is very helpful.

Conveniently located barely habitable room.
Bedsheets and towels were not changed over multiple days. The plumbing was cheap plastic that just came apart when the sink was used. No phones on premises. TV provided but the electrical extension had a loose contact. Seriously underpowered premises. Cant use the hotplate and a hair dryer sumultaneously. Likewise your spouse cant use the hairdryer if you want hot water for a bath. Visitors are strictly advised not to adjust the central temperature controls, however temperature is not maintained. Gets very cokd at night and unpleasantly warm in the day. The mattress and cot sagged so much, i fell off the bed once! Nearest laundromat a km away.

Appreciated having a kitchen. AC unit including wall and surrounding floor were really moldy, which was a real problem for people with a mold allergy. Owner/manager needs to have a service clean out AC units and surrounding areas.

Easy accessible to train station and the centre of Florence, much better than we thought, the other reviews on here don't do it much justice, only let down was no washing machine if your staying here for longer otherwise a very nice place, good value for money and it's nice and secure

Ok for the price
The hotel is somewhat clean, although expected for the price. The suites were quite spacious and had the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Internet was not working and other things such as the iron. The shower ran out of hot water after a two minute use.

Kitchen was very well equipped. Very roomy bathroom. Great location, as everything in walking distance from the flat. Only a couple of minutes walk from the main train station. Probably only negative was waiting for the office to open at 3 pm so we could collect the key. We arrived about in Florence about three hours earlier.

They ask to call them beforehand on the time of your check in, I send the e-mail and they wanted to me. The studio is spacious, there was no kettle but I was shown how to use a coffee machine to boil water for tea. WiFi workerd OK, even though it is needed to be connected anew any time the laptop is booted on. The neighbohood looks like safe enough.

Close to train station. Simple studio with basic cookwares. Enough for short term stay. But cookwares were very dirty. Need to wait a long time for hot water for shower. Water lakage in the bathroom so the floor was always wet. I am worry that the receptionist stole my credit card information because the only day that I presented my credit card to others was during check in, then my credit card got over 10 transactions with a total over $5000 dollars debits. And the transaction day was the day I ckecked in. The receptionist had all my credit card information including the CCV code which he said for security deposit purpose. That made me wonder he's the one who did all that. Need to file a case in police station. Very disappointed stay.

It is just a simple apartment. Not even toilet papier on the room. I could not find close market for shopping. There is no free parking lots. It is close to train station. Room is not clean. Administration office is open just in limited time. If you need something, good luck to you to find somebody to ask help. Be carefull of checking and checkout time. Not suitable for short time trip.

Dear Fethi, every time we clean an partment for the new Guest we left two rolls of toilet paper and we are at disposal h24 by phone call for any assistance or emergency even when the office is closed, nowhere is written that we offer free parking, also check-in and check-out time are well pointed on our property description and this must be followed. You stated here now that it was not clean the apartment, I wonder why you did not claim immediately after check-in?, anyway, thank you for your visit.

Good location but....
This is a studio with kitchen which might be attractive to some. On the plus side there is good hot water though the shower is not really differentiated from the rest of the room. Everything gets wet! The minuses include: horrible mold smell which did not abate with open windows, no one on duty except at 3 pm when someone arrives at the locked door to process your entry, and a door lock that did not really work unless you have the deftness of a safe cracker. And at night in the dark when the key refuses to allow entry there is NO ONE there to let you in.

This is a 1 bed apartment/studio not too far from SMN train station in Florence (7-10 minutes walk). Our train arrived around 1300 hours and when we reached the apartment, the office door was locked with no staff at the location. I called the number on the confirmation email, only to find the gentleman on the other end asking me "did you read the instructions on the email". When I said there were none, he responded rather coldly that we'd have to wait till 1500. Luckily, we found a nice restaurant next doors to cool off and wait for the staff. Upon check-in, we found the apartment clean and enough to meet our otherwise low expectations (their staff deserves some credit for that). It's not a modern apartment, but is functional and will work out if you plan on spending most of your day in the city (which is what we did). And it is a wonderful city with a lot to offer its visitors. Hope this helps.

Nice hotel in walking distance to the Duomo
The suite was clean and comfortable but I found the bed to be too soft. The staff changed the bed sheets and towels every 3 days. The kitchen was nice and had everything you needed. There is no staff on site, so if you have any issues you would have to call the manager to get service. The location is within 5 minute walking distance from the Train station and bus terminal and about 10 minute walk to the Duomo. There's a bus stop right across the street from the hotel. Overall, the hotel was nice for the value and the kitchen saved us a lot of money on meals.

I would like only to clarify few points for the next travellers in order to avoid misunderstanding, first of all we are not an HOTEL, we are Agency for Vacation rental holidays apartments, for this reason please do not expect to have staff on site, however there is an emergency telephone number to call for any issue it may happen and this number is open 24/7. Yes we do change linen and towels every 3 days if you stay 5+ days, within 4 nights of stay there is no linen and towel change. Dear Guest, First of all, thank you for choosing our property for your stay in Florence, in order to offer major info to other readers I would like to confirm that our property is only 1,5 km far from the end of historical centre, everything is within walking distance, google map will give you a perfect idea, I feel sad when you say the wifi signal is weak, we have equipped the building with more repeaters and we made major investments to ensure that the wifi is good and fast, Your message will certainly take this as a formula to turn that complaint to the company that provides us with wifi, because the only think I know is what I pay in order to provide free wifi to all our Guests, thank you you make me the opportunity to explain and make it better. Positive: 15 min walk to Central Station Negative: Many . Listing top few 1. No one on site to take care of any concern on non functional devices , cleanliness etc 2. Despite informing in advance no one available for checkIn at appointed time . Had to be reminded over phone and wait further 3. Electrical appliances bust the fuse if used together 4. DIshwasher was yanked out and broken 5. Fridge was just a box with internal shelves broken / taken apart 6. Shower water runs amock all over bathroom as there is no levelling arrangement. 7. TV non functional etc etc

Dear Guestn we are very sorry to read your comment therefore there are some point to clarifing, first of all we are less than 5 minutes from train station by walking, no one is on site because we are not an hotel however for any kind of problem we are at disposal by calling at emergency phone 24/7 and we have advise you at your arrival, you have been waiting because we where doing check-in in a different building with anouther Guest, private apartments in italy has a limited kw power when you try to use too many appliances in one time the main power will switch off for secutiry, dishwasher was not listed in the amenities and shall not even been there, tv need to be switch on with two different remote and it is working very well we cannot leave an appliance if it doesnt work and we try every time we clean the flat after a Customer departure, I am sorry about the shower I know our shower it is not usefull but the space of the bathroom oblige to settle certain kind of appliances we are trying to settle shower box in all flats, working on progress still on, the fridge is big enough for short lenght of stay, internal shelves where broken from previous Customer and we are waiting for the new one, by the way there where lots of space to store many goods, hope to see you again and show you we are pleased of your comment. best regards

Positive: Proximity to Central Railway Station Negatives: Many .. listing top few 1. Dark and dingy unclean room 2. Electricity Power would go off when you tried to use kitchennete at higher levels 3. TV not working 4. No one available to fix if something goes wrong nor was there any contact details given 5. DIshwasher was broken/taken apart 6. CHeckin time published was 3pm and no one available at the office at the appointed hour . when called the concerned person came with lot of grumpiness and displeasure of having been disturbed on an afternoon siesta. Obviously you should forget any support if you are a minute before 3pm or after 8pm No one should stay here unless has run out of options or is a bunch of guys just expecting a bed near station.. but then the price may be too high to pay These kind of places bring bad name to Italy and its hospitality . Definitely I am not even going to mention this place to my friends.. its too embarassing

Nice size room, very clean. Only issue was that the double size bed was actually a pull out sofa not an actual bed, so it wasn't super comfortable. Location is close to train station, only about a 10 minute walk.

You get what you pay for....
If you are looking for a low cost no frills place to stay in Florence this will fit the bill. The room was clean. It comes with a kitchenette in the room which could be handy should you decide the fare of Tuscany to expensive. The bed however, is a fold out sofa bed. In fact the worst fold out bed known to man. You will sleep in an inverted position if you are in the room we had. The other big issue is the noise. From the street and other people in the building. We were awoken to the sound of drunken partiers every night we stayed. We were given two towels the day we checked in. This was the extent of the services provided. No clean towels, bed was never made, no maid services at all. As I said 0 frills. Luckily we had a half roll of TP .

rude receptionist (after 1000 km of driving made us wait in the street), apartment smelling strongly of mold, there was no window in alcove, no shower tray (after showering impossible to go into the toilet/shower)... Although the location is not bad, we do not come back.

During our recent 3 day stay, we walked everywhere in Florence. With fully equipped kitchen, we prepared our own breakfast in the morning to save time and money. One day we lost key, owner had to come very late to get us in. The studio is clean and spacious.
