Cancelled on us right when we showed up in Florence

We arrived in the evening to Florence and found our apartment was already occupied by another party. Owner immediately cancelled our booking leaving us stranded with nowhere to stay. I’m traveling with my daughter who was exhausted from traveling and we were now essentially homeless on the streets of Florence at 11pm at night! Owner stopped communication and did not refund us the occupancy taxes. Still waiting on VRBO to resolve this debacle. It is simply an understatement to say this was a horrendous experience!
