Situated on the ground floor of a building that dates back to 1300, it adds a touch of history to your stay. The proximity to the theater 'La Pergola', Santa Maria Nuova hospital, and Piazza del Duomo makes it an ideal base for exploring the city. With its close proximity to Santa Croce and the Duomo, you'll have easy access to some of the best areas of Florence. These areas are not only known for their vibrant atmosphere with bars and restaurants but also for their rich cultural heritage, including numerous churches and museums. The apartment itself features two double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite bathroom. There is also a living room, a dining room, a fully equipped small kitchen, and a small courtyard. With these amenities, you'll have everything you need for a comfortable stay and an enjoyable holiday in one of the most strategic locations in Florence. The apartment is on the bottom floor so there aren't any stairs to climb. 2 nicely renovated bathrooms worked well for the 4 adults in our party. The beds are comfortable and my friend said the sofa bed was very comfortable also. We were there during a heatwave and the a/c worked great and each room has its own unit. Our host was very accommodating and had his property manager Daniel drop our bags off prior to check-in so we could make it to one of our tours. I would definitely stay here again! ##### Joss A. Check in was easy and the owner and his manager were very communicative. The apartment features a binder with so much useful information, but the owner was always available to provide more. We couldn't recommend it more highly.Be sure to have a sweater with you. Daniel, who helped manage the property, met us right at the door when we arrived. Gave us a tour of the house and pointed out all details. He was readily available when needed.The pictures on the listing do not accurately show the space. It was spacious and very well equipped. The host was hospitable, providing so many pillows, and towels. In addition, laundry detergent and dish soap made the stay so convenient. Also provided additional power converters which came in handy. The beds in the bedrooms were the most comfortable we have had in an home rental. The sofa bed, wasn’t as comfortable but that is to be expected. The ample pillows made up for this. The street had some construction and wasn’t the nicest looking street in Florence, but the area was safe and quiet. The apartment is tight for 6 adults. Listed as a 3 bedroom but in fact the 3rd bedroom is the pullout sofa in the living area. The 2nd bedroom is small and not easy to get in and out of since it is against the wall, but it does have the attached bathroom as a bonus. Outdoor patio was a plus, wish there was a dryer. There was an issue with one of the bathrooms before we arrived that we were kept informed of. We ended up moving our reservation back a day and everything was fine when we arrived. The apartment was a little musty but opening windows and running the three heat pumps took care of it. Both bathrooms were very nice with walk in showers. The location was excellent! We parked our car in a parking garage and never needed it. One of the nice finds was a breakfast restaurant called the Rooster Cafe. It was really nice. If you like avocado toast for breakfast this is the place to go. Also the end of October is an excellent time to visit Florence. We had no problems booking some tours or going to any of the sites we wished to see. Definitely would go here again. ##### John B. The owner has gone out of his way to make our stay comfortable and we had an excellent experience. The unit has everything we needed including a dishwasher, a washing machine, excellent A/C a microwave and coffee maker. The owner provided a helpful pamphlet that even lists recommended restaurants, museums and transportation options. But best of all - the apartment is 3 blocks from the Duomo, 2 blocks from the Accadamae Museum, 8 blocks from the Uffizi Museum, 2 blocks from a really good restaurant (Zio Gigi) and 3 blocks from a small neighborhood market. The beds are comfortable and low to the floor, but we managed I highly recommend this owner and his apartment. Cannot thank the owner enough for all he did for us. I will stay here again if I travel to Florence again. ##### Robert E. It was disconcerting and I felt like we were being robbed upon arrival until other travelers told me it's a real thing. So expect the room to cost something like 200 more for a family of 4 to stay a week.We loved the location, close to everything. There was a lot of ambulance noise in the front bedroom being next to the hospital. The back bedroom didn't have a working heat pump/air conditioner and opening the window to the courtyard let in an amazing amount of mosquitoes that ate us alive. Screens would have been nice, or a fan. The linens and dishes were adequate, but this is the sort of place where there's no coffee or sugar left for you unless the previous tenant left some. Everything was clean, we appreciated having a washer, and there was enough hot water.All in all, okay but not great. ##### Wendy M. Walking distance from many desirable restaurants, sights & attractions Items that could have made our stay better: We did notice a mildew smell in the apartment. It is an older building. The mattresses on the beds were very low & on platforms. No box springs. This made getting in & out of the bed difficult especially for my elderly mother. We managed but it was uncomfortable & challenging. We did appreciate the kitchen amenities. Being able to make a hot cup of tea on the morning with the kettle was lovely. The new television worked wonderfully We were able to stream favorite shows from our Netflix account during down time. ##### Sheri W.
