About this property
Mountain Escape Near NAU and Downtown - Hot Tub, Game Room, AC, Garage
Our home is 5 minutes to NAU, 5 minutes to downtown Flagstaff, 25 minutes to Snowbowl, and a great base for visiting the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Williams (Bearizona and the Polar Express), and other Arizona gems. Many hiking trails are available nearby, such as the Wild West Trail, the Ponderosa Trail, and the High Country Trail.
The space includes three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The principal bedroom has a king bed and an en-suite bathroom. The principal bedroom also has a desk, a TV, and a large walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a king bed and a TV. The third bedroom has two twin beds. The second and third bedrooms share a bathroom off the hallway. Both bathrooms in the house have bath tubs and are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The house has a queen-sized air mattress, which can be placed in the living room. A pack-n-play and a high chair is also available for kids.
The home is cheerful, cozy, clean, and well-stocked. No need to buy paper towels, toilet paper, laundry detergent, shampoo, condiments, or basic spices-- it's all there, ready for you to use, just as you do at home. We have tried to think of all the appliances you might need, such as a blender, crock pot, insta-pot, and baking and cooking dishes. For coffee, we have a Keurig machine, an espresso machine, and a regular drip coffee machine.
The home has warm central heating and AC for summer comfort. The living room has a vintage wood-burning stove to keep you even cozier on cold nights and a projector to create your very own home theater. We have regular cable TV and Netflix.
The sun room has been converted in a game room for adults and kids alike. Enjoy a game of foosball or play cards or games while your kids do puzzles and read books in a cozy nook.
The backyard has a luxurious hot tub, complete with jets and lights, to help you relax after a long day of skiing, hiking, biking, or exploring. Unwind on the outdoor deck with a grilled meal or a glass of wine al fresco.
The house has a two-car garage, along with more space in the driveway for parking. A keypad for the front entry with a unique code for each set of guests to access the home at any time of day or night assures security and privacy.
We allow most dogs (no more than two), but please message host before booking to confirm. No cats please.

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Somewhere close enough to skiing but also close to everything in flagstaff. And the hot tub on the patio is just what you need after a day on the slopes
The house was perfect for our family, clean, comfortable, and cozy. We especially enjoyed the hot tub - the best one at all the VRBO houses we’ve stayed in. Our hostess was spot-on with everything. Thank you!
The house is extremely close to NAU. So it was the perfect place to stay to go to a game.
The house is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals. The hot tub was luxurious. Overall enjoyable stay
Perfect spot for families with young kids. The playroom made for a great hangout spot and the hot tub was amazing once the kids went to bed. Lots of toys and activities to keep the kids busy and the house was well stocked and very clean. The projector screen in the living room was also very fun for the kids who got to watch Blippi on the biggest screen they have ever seen! Owner was extremely responsive and was available via text or call immediately when I had questions about the tv and checking in early which she approved. Highly recommended this spot!
Owner was excellent in replying to messages. Was very apologetic about cleaning situation and refunded us our Pet Fee which was very kind. We picked this property because of the fenced in yard for our dog. Unfortunately, owner has left big piles of debris on both sides of the house which is a borderline safety issue as there were some nails protruding from at least one discarded piece of wood. I sent the owner pictures and she did say she would address the issues as soon as possible. That is great for future guests but did not help our stay. A previous review said the beds were hard and they are hard. So glad we brought our own pillows. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, coffee makers, etc. Grill worked great. Good location. If you like firm mattresses and owner corrects cleaning issues, this would be a great place to stay.
We had a wonderful time! Especially loved the back deck during the cooler part of evening. The house was just as advertised and very clean! Would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful selection of toys, books, puzzles, etc. for kids in nice playroom. Beds were comfy (contrary to some reviews). Lots of very thoughtful touches, like lap blankets, plenty of bath towels, sheets for kiddos pack-n-play (we brought), etc. Overall would recommend. A few suggestions - family room couch is extremely uncomfortable. Also note driveway is VERY steep, recommend parking in garage.
Nice quiet location, with lot's of amenities like the hot tub, wood burning stove, Wall size projection T.V. and the fuse ball table. Very responsive owner, which was great, but the beds were hard as a rock for a person who normally likes a medium mattress, so I would need to bring a topper to stay there again. The doors are a bit loud to open and close becuase they stick, but nothing that can't be fixed.
The property had everything we could ask for for a totally lazy, comfy vacation! The beds and pillkows were uncomfortable, but that's up to personal preference. The house didnt look like it was dusted recently, but overall a good experiment!
We stayed at this adorable home for our son's NAU graduation. We wanted to avoid the crazy restaurant scene during the weekend and have a place to spread out and enjoy celebrating. The foosball table and hot tub were big hits with everyone. Plus allowing us to bring our dog was a huge bonus. While there was a plumbing problem the homeowner was super responsive and got it fixed very quickly. Overall 5 Stars!
house inside was very clean and comfortable. the only big problem was with the outside entrance. it has a VERY steep driveway and stairs from both garage and front door to the interior. would not have been that big of deal but wife has bad knees and i have a bad hip making it hard. would have helped to have remote garage door opener. the projection tv was great. hot tub was a plus, but only got to use it once. the back yard needed weeds cut bad and didn't like the house behind was a lot higher and the neighbors could look right down onto the patio but was very quiet neighborhood.

Nice Host, But the Home Needs Work
The host was kind and responsive, but the house itself has several issues. The second bathroom tub didn’t drain at all, and by the last day the master shower was so slow we skipped showering to avoid standing in ankle-deep water. The sink was also slow to drain. The front door’s deadbolt doesn’t work, the master bathroom door doesn’t lock, and the bathroom window isn’t fully covered — which felt uncomfortable, especially with nearby two-story homes looking directly into the yard. The living room furniture is tiny and not comfortable for relaxing. The projector is useless during the day, and the remote doesn’t control the volume. There’s broken tile in the backyard, which isn’t safe for pets or kids.We were asked to take out trash, run the dishwasher, and do laundry before leaving — despite a 155 cleaning fee — and the place wasn’t very clean when we arrived. Lots of little issues added up and made the stay uncomfortable overall. The house needs more work and some updates done to it.
