Fantastic room with great beams and a fantastic bath.

A fantastic stay and a brilliant evening had in the bar, they even had Elvis in the building! The food was great, the room very comfortable with a lovely bed and the welcome was very warm. Could not fault this place at all. Perfect for a overnight stay.

Honestly, from the moment you arrive it’s luxurious. Felt so isolated from the outside world, which was perfect for our couple time!

Great stay - convenient location just a short walk from the high st and attached to a fabulous restaurant. We stayed on the top floor - great room but a bit tricky for anyone who is less mobile or quite tall. Really great friendly service from the staff from start to finish.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Stayed in the Amy Johnson room full of lovely things relating to Amy. The whole place is a credit to the wonderful hosts. Fantastic breakfast. Exceptional

Staff were wonderful as was the room and the food available in the restaurant. Only disadvantage was the lack of car parking but that still wouldn’t put us off returning.

Omg what a lovely place to stay. Clean, well maintained , very comfortable a really home from home. Breakfast was excellent .I would definitely stay again. So friendly nothing was to much trouble. Looking forward to going back when I can . So thank you very much to our hosts . Very impressed. 👍

We found this hotel to be far enough away from the town centre to not be bothered by any noise but close enough for a nice stroll and the sunset over the harbour was lovely. The owners have obviously spent a great deal of time and money on this once run down to turn it into a comfortable hotel with more improvements planned.

It was the first visit to Canterbury for my friend and myself . The Cathedral Lodge was so lovely. The staff were super helpful, the hotel was spotless, the breakfast was excellent. It was quite novel to be let i and out of the main gate by police but at least you felt secure. We also went on a punt trip up the river Stour. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Staff contacted me as I had anticipated a later arrival to advise about dining times whch was really helpful. Food was good. Could be a bit more options of gluten free at breakfast

Probably the most quirky place I have stayed, ( except Frog Manor in Cheshire which I think is now closed ) fab relaxed atmosphere, great English wines, the staff are very helpful 👍

Our stay at the Stables Courtyard rooms was excellent. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the wonderful staff in all areas of the property. The reception staff were very polite and friendly, and gave us all the information we needed for our stay and our wristbands for free entry to the Castle and grounds. I had a fabulous trip away for my birthday. This was the 3rd time coming here. The last time was 5 years ago for my 40th so thought I'd replicate it for my 45th. Both were solo trips. The pool is lovely, the massage and facial is booked were amazing and the afternoon tea was fabulous. The only downside was the dinner on my birthday. I'd stipulated it was my birthday on booking and been told they'd do something special for the dinner but other than a few sparkles on the table saying happy...
