Really lovely apartments and pool in a great location. Would not hesitate to recommend

Started in a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the swimming pool. The apartments are great. Good points: Lots of space, an extremely well equipped kitchen, clean, largeTV & a DVD player, apartments generally finished to a high standard, no shortage of sun loungers at pool, secure car park, good wifi. Bad points: very few but little sun on balcony if overlooking the pool, only 1 sun lounger on balcony, hard beds.

This was a great hotel apartment with excellent facilities, particularly those travelling with young children. The apartment had a modern kitchen, huge dining/living area, bedroom for the kids with their own toilet/shower and a master on-suite bedroom. Plus a decent balcony overlooking the pool. The staff were on the whole friendly and spoke good English. The facilities were very good, with plenty of sunbeds around the pool and an indoor heated pool for young children

Had a lovely time at this hotel , the only complaint I had was the resident cat !!! Although I am an animal lover I didn't like the supposedly "white" cat that loved to sleep in the seated area at reception . It was a Nasty and unpredictable cat and although I knew not to go near it but children might not be so knowledgeable . Reception staff are always friendly and helpful .

This hotel has to be up there with the very best. Absolutely fabulous. Spa centre and gymnasium were also good. Very warm indoor swimming pool if required for later in the year when a little cooler..

We stayed for 7 days at Vila Petra in January and overall it was a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is located at the less busy end of the Strip and the surroundings are quiet and pleasant. The check-in was effortless and quick, and the email communication before arrival was helpful. The room was good in size with two single beds put together, a sofa (which could be changed to a sofa bed), a dining table with chairs, a separate well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. Lovely quiet hotel, great food and choice. Even in busy times the restaurant is well managed. Good to have a choice of swimming pools also and we always got a sunbed in the patio pool.

We have just come back from a 4 night stay at the hotel, and I can truly say it is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. The 1 bed room apartment over looking the golf course was amazing. The room was very modern, and the cleanliness was impeccable. The rooms have everything you need if you want to do your own cooking in the apartment, and the bed was so comfortable. Fantastic self catering in main hotel block, spacious rooms, very clean. We would highly recommend this complex. Staff were friendly and helpful. Family holiday last 2 weeks in August with 2 kids, aged 12 & 14 yrs. Marco, the entertainment team, always friendly and the kids loved taking part in the organised activities; football, water polo etc. 15 minute walk into Albufeira which has a great choice of restaurants. Recommend Sizzling Stone for a great cook your own steak, you gotta try...

It was a fantastic experience. We were welcomed at the reception by Peter whose amiable and happy to have you made us felt that we were being welcomed by Saint Peters himself to Paradise. And then we met Stephen Marriott, very lovely guy: always asking how we were enjoying the resort and if there was anymore he could do. Everything was beautifully arranged and enjoyable; from the nice and well prepared breakfast to the house keeping. And may I say that the most beautiful thing about the hotel...

Far better than the reviews say. Really lovely for families and older teens families. 2 bed appartment was perfect. Beautiful view of marina feom the swimming pool. Lots of restaurants to choose from.

Lovely clean apartments.....great jacuzzi and pool. Ideal for a quiet holiday. Small square with a supermarket,handful of restaurants and a couple of shops but nothing else! Bus stop to albufeira.....not Vilamoura..however you can catch bus to olhas do agua (next village) and then catch faro bus which calls at vilamoura, quarteira etc...tourist information don't tell you this as they want to sell you their shuttle service (much more expensive!)
