"This is like no hotel we have ever experienced, and we have travelled extensively. This is a converted Hamam from the 17thC with all the modern amenities. The room had been the warming room of the Hamam and includes a private steam bath. A large dome is central to the room, as is the comfortable bed. Beautiful tile work. And a delightful host who answered all our questions and made excellent suggestions."

"As a solo traveller, great location to base yourself in the quieter part of Old Town. Host, Sparta was super responsive and very helpful with great suggestions of where to eat and things to do. Nori was so welcoming and made check-in smooth and easy. The room was lovely, chill decor and the court-yard was very relaxing, making it easy to forget you’re just a stone throw away from the hustle and bustle of the Old Town. Lovely neighbourhood with friendly locals. It was a pleasure to be one of the first guests to stay at the newly opened Spartacus Garden Boutique Hotel. I’d happily recommend and would stay there again."

"We had a wonderful few days at Aquila Porto Rethymno. The property is beautiful and well maintained and with many additional facilities and games than expected. We went mid-June and had a wonderful time at the pool and beach, easily finding chairs, however, the drinks service was slow. The breakfast spread was delicious and plentiful. Very convenient location with easy walking distance to town."

"Great stay for our old town desires. Parking can be a pain BUT I would say it’s a better situation here then most hotel options that don’t offer onsite parking - we always were able to find parking Breakfast was good, location was great. Having a pool was great for my toddler. Ac got freezing in our room which was nice."

"I would 100% rebook this hotel. The receptionist is absolutely amazing and helpful. She makes an amazing breakfast and is so attentive to her guests. It's located in old town rethymno which is amazing. You dive immediately into the prettiest area in Rethymno and if you have any questions the receptionist will always help you with a smile. The rooms are spacious and modern. The housekeeping could use some work because they dont changed the sheets just made the bed, but I'm sure if you asked they would do it in an instant. We never used the hot-tub because it was too hot out for us but it looked clean and well maintained."
