"Cozy and comfortable Stay at 1Bluejay Cottage..... We had a lovely experience at the one-bedroom lakeside retreat while visiting Magnetawan. It offered free Wi-Fi, complimentary self-parking, and a small kitchen, which made our visit warm and inviting. One of the highlights was the beautiful view of the lake, which added a peaceful and relaxing touch to our trip. A special thank you to Betina and Raj, who went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and comfortable throughout our stay, their kindness and hospitality truly made a difference! Although the accomodation uses a portable heater, it worked perfectly well and kept the entire space warm and cozy. There are a few areas for improvement, the toiletries, as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were not supplied. Also, providing extra towels would be appreciated, especially for guests staying for more than one night, to ensure a more comfortable and convenient experience. The resort is conveniently located just about 10 minutes from town, where you can find Magnetawan Grill and Grocery restaurant, a great spot for good food with friendly service, as well as small grocery store for your everyday needs. In summary, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the warm hospitality, with a few improvements, such as providing adequate toiletries and extra towels the guest experience could be even better but it's a lovely getaway for anyone looking for a peaceful escape in Magnetawan!!"
Secluded off-grid 3-bedroom cabin on a quiet lake

"Beautiful cabin and property. Glass door wood stove kept the entire place warm and was romantic. Excellent fishing and swimming spot. Loads of privacy. I recommend renting the boat in cooler weather but paddling in would not be hard in good weather. Large screen porch and screen room at water were great. Lots of firewood to be found. Plan for an off grid experience with the comfort of a gorgeous cabin. The hosts were some of the nicest people I have ever talked to and were very accommodating. I recommend speaking to them directly. Loved this place!"

"Great location, right on the river. Our dog enjoyed playing in the water, very quiet. Neighbours are close by; the hill down to the dock is quite steep. Very clean, with lots of walking trail near by."

"Bagz place was as advertised and exactly what we were looking for our family vacation. Thanks to Sam the host/owner. Sam was very responsive when I reached out before and during our stay. He even called the area bait shops to help me find minnows! The house is in a remote, very quiet area. The drive to Bagz place is beautiful and takes you across Maple Island on the way. The area lakes and rivers offer a wide variety of fish from rainbow trout (caught my first on this trip) to Pike. If your looking for a place to get away from it all, Bagz is your place!"

"It was perfect place, great view, comfortable furniture and direct access to top line boating and fishing. We boated the Pickerel River was so beautiful. This place is luxury in a remote quiet location. Would gladly come back."

"Steve’s property was incredible! My friends and I did a 4 night stay at his beautiful cottage and all had an amazing time! The place was clean, the listing was accurate, the water/lakefront was beautiful, watching the stars on the deck at night was great, and best of all, Steve was a fantastic host who promptly responded to all questions, reached out to see if we needed anything, and provided ample instructions and suggestions to ensure our stay was as good as it was. I cannot recommend this property enough, and I cannot recommend booking with Steve enough. Would book here again in a heartbeat!"
Jack's Lake Retreat - Perfect for multi-families!

"Overall this place was amazing and exactly what we had hoped for. Pros: Overall - beautiful inside and out. Would stay again in a heart beat. Remote in the sense no neighbours, no excess noise. I saw a few bad reviews about the AC but we had no issues and it was a very muggy week. Wifi worked great. Once we had wifi the communication with hosts was amazing. Cons/improvement opportunities: fire pit area is rather small for a rental that could sleep up to 16. Check in process was rocky as there was no cell service (not their fault) and we rented a boat from the owners, but it was not there so could not get to the cottage right away. They made it right but just a kink in our first day. The dock needs a little bit of TLC, parts of it would go under water at times. Some items weren’t on site that were mentioned in listing."
