Canary House LA FORTALEZA. Built in the year 1805.

Typical Canarian Rural House for rent, built in 1805, restored in 2007 in the municipality of El Tanque. Located in the heart of the town and very close to the church and main town square, in a natural environment that makes it very attractive. Ideal for family routes along its various trails that the area has, as an example you can visit the Route of Monte del Agua, Las Charcas de Erjos, Chinyero Volcano, Las Cuevas Negras, among others. We also have two bicycles to use during the stay (at no additional cost).
The town communicates with different tourist attractions such as Garachico, Los Silos, Buenavista, Santiago del Teide, Guía de Isora. Garachico; a very different landscape that descends to El Muelle Beach and El Caletón Natural Pools, just 15 minutes away by car and also invites you to the bathroom and rest. Garachico, Los Silos and Buenavista also have a great gastronomic and cultural variety.
In addition, our accommodation is located in a very quiet area (away from tourist areas and noise) and has supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacy, shops, gas station, medical center.

There is also an ideal floor area for outdoor breakfast.

Activities in the Area: Our accommodation offers a few meters from multiple routes and excursion areas, ideal for the practice of outdoor tourism activities in rural areas. In addition, the town of El Tanque has an approximate temperature of 20 * C which makes it attractive to practice sports such as trekking, hiking, paragliding, tourism cycle. You can also enjoy a route to Camel that has the town a few meters from home. In addition its coasts: Garachico (about 15 minutes by car) Los Silos (about 20 minutes by car) Buenavista (about 25 minutes by car) offer the possibility of activities such as diving, surfing, fishing.

Places to visit in the North of Tenerife: La Orotava: With its Canarian balconies and cobbled streets and unique architecture. It also has an open commercial area and a unique gastronomic and cultural offer. Los Gigantes in Santiago del Teide: Where you can contemplate its famous Cliffs and you can also take boat trips to see dolphins and turtles or take excursions to Masca beach (with incredible landscapes for photography lovers) Buenavista del norte: With its square surrounded by kiosks ideal for a good coffee or with its large golf course for those who practice this sport, and you can also relax on its La Arena beach and also has a great gastronomic and cultural offer.

Belle maison canarienne, très confortable.

La maison et l'espace extérieur sont très agréables. Le service est parfait avec une bouteille de vin à l'accueil. Parfait pour cuisiner. La salle de bain est très belle. Grande propreté et la maison a une très jolie architecture.

Well presented accommodation, but some issues

El Tanque is well located for walking. The accommodation is a good size, well presented with modern appliances. We stayed in the winter. The living room has no windows and the bedroom has shutters instead of glass. As a result, the rooms do not heat up during the day, but cool at night. The low energy lightbulbs are dim, so the overall impression is unfortunately cold and darKish. There is a wood burner, but the off-cuts provided do not generate much heat. The kitchen is a little under equipped and I recommend the owner provides an electric kettle, a couple medium sized saucepans and some larger bowls and glasses. El Tanque itself has very limited cafes/bars and restaurants and the locals appear to use the cafe at the petrol station. The accommodation has safe and accessible car parking and is located in a quiet spot near a large super market.

Hübsches Haus mit viel Charme

Wir haben unseren kurzen Aufenthalt in El Tanque sehr genossen. Das Haus ist gut gelegen mit schönen Blick von der Terrasse über das Dorf bis zum Meer am Horizont und viel Stil. Der kleine Garten und die Terrasse laden zum Verweilen ein und das Haus wurde erst vor kurzem liebevoll und geschmackvoll renoviert. Es bietet alles, was man braucht. Und mehr: bei Ankunft erwartete uns ein liebevoll hergerichteter Präsentkorb mit Obst, Keksen und einer Flasche Wein. Der Kühlschrank war mit dem Nötigsten gefüllt und auch sonst zeugte das Haus von ausserordentlicher Gastfreundschaft und viel gutem Geschmack. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und können das kleine Ferienhaus nur empfehlen. Kinderfreundlich ist es auch: Kinderzimmer mit kleinem Maltisch, Wickelkommode, Hochstuhl, praktische geräumige Dusche (passen locker zwei Personen rein und die Kids können im Sitzen duschen), Babybett, reichlich Handtücher, sicheres Aussengelände. Für uns hat es perfekt gepasst! Einen herzlichen Dank an Jennifer, ihren Vater und Schwiegervater, die sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich waren. Recomendamos la casa fuertemente también para familias. Está recién renovada con mucho gusto y tiene todo lo que se necesita y más! Jennifer es muy amable y se ocupa de todo. A nuestra llegada encontramos en la mesa una cesta con fruta, vino y galletas! Desde la terraza hay una vista preciosa por todo el pueblo hasta el mar. Disfrutábamos de unos días maravillosas. Gracias de nuevo!
