"The location is in the downtown of the town. You can walk around the downtown thtas has shops, coffee shops and regional restaurants not fancy but excelent food. The breakfast is across the hotel and you can take different authentic "paisa" food. The hotel cozy, not fancy but the staff is amazing. As el Retiro is small town there is no Uber, only taxi from airport to the town. Outsid ethe down town you can find nice and fancy restaurantes."

The hotel is actually located in Rionegro, which is a completely different area with a colder climate and a less convenient location for travelers expecting to stay near Envigado and Medellín. Had the true location been clearly stated, I would not have made this reservation. Accurate location details are essential when choosing accommodations, and this discrepancy significantly impacted my experience and plans. I strongly encourage the property to correct this information to avoid misleading future guests. I hope this review helps others make a more informed decision when booking."

"My room was a well-equipped luxury studio apartment that included a washer/dryer (what a treat) and a great small kitchen and a large walk-in shower. Absolutely loved my accommodation. And for you gringos and gringas out there with shaky Spanish, your host, Juan, not only speaks impeccable English but is so very helpful. Highly recommend!"
