Very nice hotel close to beach

This is a very nice hotel close to beach although not close to the city centre. Only a 10 minute walk to train station. The hotel has excellent facilities.

Excellent Beach Hotel

Posted 15-Apr-2017 on Hotels
A very nice hotel. We were there for only one night so we weren't able to take advantage of the spa they have. The facility is in great condition and in a excellent location, a 60-second walk to the beach and restaurants. For some reason we were given a room with 4 twin beds but we didn't care. Good wifi. Pleasant staff, although English was halting. I get the unfounded impression that most visitors to Cadiz are Spaniards, figuring the Brits tend to go more to the east. So the hotel folks and the restaurant people didn't speak much English, and I got by ok with my rusty Spanish. If you don't speak Spanish, I wouldn't let that stop you. I would say read up on Cadiz so you know what's there. We didn't because we were committed to seeing it for one night only. If we were to go again for a longer stay I will do more research of the area, just because.

Spain: I am working; she is on vacation.

We used the breakfast buffet which was extensive and tasty. With the area restaurants we only ate the dinner buffet once. There was a lot of variety and quality was very good. The only negative comment comes from their website described coffee shop with food available most of the day. It was not existent which was difficult when adapting to Spanish lunch and dinner times. A little disappointing for resort style hotel.

Not remarkable but fine & right on the sea.

Average accommodation but a very good price. Right on the beach but there's not a lot else in the area. The nearby town is great with good restaurants & just over €5 in a taxi. The pool area is very good & lovely lady at the cafe there.

Amazing location; so-so hotel.

The location was AMAZING!!! The hotel sits right across the street from the sand... There's less distance from the hotel to the sand, than from the sand to the water. We chose a sea view which was breathtaking and my wife LOVED IT!!! It was great for a morning coffee on the balcony. There's a plethora of bars, restaurants, shops and what-have-you along the beach, so there's plenty of choices for anything you want during your stay. This is a good thing, since the hotel lacks a lot of this. The staff is not nice, not too bad, but definitely not nice. When we asked a question, we were told to look it up, rather than tell us the answer. THAT IS TERRIBLE!!! The room is Motel-6 quality, at a much higher price. The bathroom was very old and outdated; and my wife was disgusted by the bathtub. I guess you get what you pay for. Considering how nice the hotel looks, the bathrooms should get remodeled and soon. All-in-all, the location made up for many inadequacies of the hotel. We'll search around next time, but will stay here if we have to.

We were at this hotel near the end of March. The town was mostly empty but we expected that. The hotel itself is very nice and the wifi worked well. Make sure to get the sea view though, it's stunning. The town is definitely a beach town with lots of restaurants and souvenir shops. The beach itself is huge and there are beach bars aplenty. The pool has weird hours though.

Modern, impersonal close to beach

Posted 15-Feb-2016
The hotel was modern and clean but buffet dinner uninspiring. We left a pair of shoes in our room on checking out and e-mailed to ask if they had been found. We did not receive the courtesy of a reply which is indicative of the lack of concern over customer service.

No sexism please.

Posted 04-Oct-2015 on Hotels
The accommodation was as advertised and good value. The only downside was the staff on check in. I booked the room in my name. However although I stood at the counter with the paperwork, the male staff looked past me when asking every question to my husband. I was the one who answered every question and they still continued to ignore me. Even reaching past me to hand the room key and paperwork to my husband. I have been travelling for the past 2 months with my husband and have not come across this before. Hoping this sexism is not the norm.
