Bellissima mansarda al 5 piano con ascensore molto accogliente in pieno centro, arredata con molto buon gusto, molto ben riscaldata, con due camere due bagni. Tutti i conforto. Consiglio vivamente, sotto casa c'è ufficio tour Scozia in italiano comodissimo.

L'appartamento e' molto spazioso per 4 persone. Eccelente la ubicazione in quanto molto vicino al centro citta. Tutto ok tranne gli spiferi d'aria dalle finestre in camera con 2 letti singoli. Era fastidioso avendo la testa proprio sotto la finestra. Invece nella camera matrimoniale non c'è stato questo problema.

The apartment has been newly furnished and is spacious for a group of four. It has full set of cooking utensils and two bathrooms, which is rare. The noisy water flow in the pipes is the only defect.

We liked having an apartment in the center of town. We had all the kitchenware and towels we needed. It was a bit complicated to figure out the hot water for the shower. I suggest to provide a manual for the appliances. Water pressure was also low in the shower.

Everything was really great, very clean, and I was very impressed. It was very warm, and I did not figure out the portable fans weren't just heaters until our last day!! My only - very minor - issues were using the washer /dryer, and the shower. We do not have electric showers in the US, so it took me a while to figure it out. 😊 It was a nice apartment, excellent location, and we were very pleased.

The flat was lovely, but there were three major issues. The en-suite bathroom: smells of damp and raw sewage every time the water is turned on elsewhere in the flat (i.e. the kitchen or other bathroom), and there is damp damage around the base of the shower, and that power shower has low pressure. The double room: double bed mattress is probably in need of replacing as it dips where it seems a lot of people have slept on already. The entrances: There is a LOT of pigeon feces leading into the apartment building and the apartment itself. I am aware this might not the fault of Old Town Apartments and rather the fault of the building owner, but the really need to lobby them to spray wash that daily so it doesn’t build it. There were no pigeons in sight so it was clearly something that has build up over weeks/months. This apartment is really lovely and if not for these issues with comfort and cleanliness I would have given it 5 stars, but there were issues that were impossible to ignore. Also, the place asked for a deposit over email, which is of course, was unsecured and even suspicious. There must be a better and more secure way to take deposits in 2019. I would even rather pay more up front to be issued a refund at the end of the stay as you know it will be more secure than provided card details over an email that could be easily hacked on either end with no guarantee your card numbers will be destroyed securely. If these changes were made it would be an amazing stay!

Nice but hard to find

Directions to the location were a bit difficult to understand simply because the geography of the location is unique. We were looking for roads not realizing the "alleys" were roads. Rooms were clean and well kept.

Spacious apartment in the heart of Edinburgh

Our experience at the Old Town Apartments was great! The apartment was spacious and its location was amazing. It was really easy to go anywhere in Edinburgh.

We visit Edinburgh every few years and prices keep rising at hotels near The Royal Mile. Old town Apartments offer a great option. Our place was located on Old FishMarket close and we we delighted to see how easy it was to be on the Royal Mile with just a 1 minute walk. We enjoyed having 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and the kitchen is very well equipped for light cooking. This place has a washing machine, although we could not locate a dryer rack. This is the best value in Edinburgh.
