Booked for a stopover on way to Sweden, comfy bed, excellent meal in the restaurant ( steak was a bit rare but very lean and tasty) lovely setting by the river and staff were lovely. Watch out for the illuminated headboard thing if you’re tall, managed to whack my head on it in the night, silly idea. Weather was appalling but not the hotel’s fault. Staff let us park our motorbike in the electric bike store, all locked up and dry.

End of season
A bit disappointed. We spent three days in their “comfort” room. On the plus side there was plenty of room and a good location in the centre of the hotel but the whole place looked tired and very much “end-of-season”. The carpet in our room needed renewing and the big picture windows were very dirty. The whole appearance was dated and a bit scruffy. Tea/coffee was there for the first night then to be paid for on subsequent nights. I’ve never come across that before. Oh dear .... what a shame.

Earnewald stopover
Stayed at this hotel one night on tour of the Friesland area on the way to Het Loo Palace. It was off season but still interesting.

Clean Room with deck overlooking water
We enjoyed the very clean room and the view from the deck. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good food. The hotel is a little dated and could use some air-conditioning. Otherwise we had a great stay! Very central to the friesland area.

Lovely location. Relaxing waterside spot.
Only 20 mins from Leeuwarden GTC Expo. Nice to find a rural waterside location to relax before going to town. Very enjoyable stay.

Canal views and lovely immediate area.
Stayed one night enroute. Had a canal side room with balcony on 2nd floor. Excellent. Restaurant was fine as were the staff. It was a quiet period and I suspect in the high season it may get a bit crowded and noisy. Short walks along the canal passing boating marinas and small village with a few restaurants (most closed when we were there in April). No complaints.

A pleasant hotel in a quiet location
Pleasant reception staff and a lovely quiet location. On the basis of past reviews we booked a room with a lake view, and this was a good choice.We enjoyed watching the ducks making their way across the ice on the lake.Parking and breakfast were included in the price, making it a nice stay en-route to our destination.

Fantastic food!
Just 10 minutes outside of Leeuwarden, a beautiful rural setting next to a canal with sailing excursions in the summer. We ate dinner there every night and can't say enough good things about the food and the service. Will definitely return in the summer!

Nice getaway
Very nice location in the middle of the woods. Quite and peacefull place. We asked for an extra table and some chairs to work at the room, and they created us a lovely small office in the room :) Great experience.

Wonderful starting point for nature hikes
Looked for hotel close to swimming pool in Drachten and found this one. Spacious, quiet hotel at the border of National Bird sanctuary and water side. Boat rentals available next door.

Kamers verouderd, bedden niet fijn. Bij restaurant jong personeel die geen excuus maaakt als er iets fouts gegaan is bij de vbediening. Aangegeven bij de receptie die er vervolgens ook niks mee doen. Niet geheel klantvriendelijk

Ett fantastisk ställe som hade allt. Miljön, rummet, balkongen, trivseln, service, elektriska båtar att hyra och god mat. Kommer tillbaka 2024 men stannar då en längre period!

Das Hotel Princenhof ist ein prima Aufenthaltsort für eine entspannte und erholsame Auszeit, zudem die Klasse Lage direkt an den Wasserstraßen des Nationalparks, besser geht es kaum👍!

We hadden de pech dat we geen kamer met zicht op het water hadden en ook geen balkon hadden en dan is het echt een tegenvaller als je van de plaatjes op internet uitgaat.

Heel leuk hotel, super vriendelijk personeel. Midden in een natuurgebied, zeer rustig. Comfortabele kamer, goed bed, extra kussens, alles zeer schoon en goed onderhouden. Goed ontbijt, excellente koffie en heerlijk uitzicht op het water en veel watervogels. Hotel met restaurant.

Gutes Frühstück. Aber an alle Tagen das selbe essen ist nicht so erquickend. Für 60 Personen verteilt auf 2 Räumlichkeiten nur eine Kaffeemaschine. Die Warteschlange war lang.

Goedemorgen mevrouw Greive, bedankt voor uw feedback. Jammer om te lezen dat uw verblijf niet geheel naar wens is geweest. We hebben e.e.a. nagekeken. U had een basic kamer geboekt en heeft op een classic kamer verbleven. Ik ben bang dat er sprake is geweest van een misverstand. Indien beschikbaar bieden wij onze gasten de mogelijkheid om een upgrade (van basic naar classic) bij te boeken op moment van aankomst. Het is zeker niet gebruikelijk om deze op te leggen aan de gast. Onze welgemeende excuses hiervoor. Wij hebben uw opmerking intern besproken om te voorkomen dat een dergelijke situatie in de toekomst opnieuw voor kan komen. Goede locatie ten opzichte van Leeuwarden. Fijne nieuwe badkamer, alleen kamer zelf wat gedateerd. Vriendelijk personeel.
