Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino
10/10 Excellent
"Absolutely gorgeous establishment. Beautiful lobby, rooms, and restaurants. Awesome pool area with a nice little happy hour, and they are just steps from the beach. A couple gripes, though. It cost a small fortune to stay here, so banging me for another $70 per night "resort fee" felt icky. Our hotel maid seemed to have difficulty stocking our room appropriately. I had to ask for things multiple times... i.e. coffee cup lids. There were several inoperable facilities such as a broken sink here and there or a broken footwash. I found the area around the pool to be a little unkempt each morning. I often found some trash or used cups from the previous day. Next was probably just our bad luck, but they closed 1 of the 2 elevators in order to swap out mattresses. I would add that changing out mattresses was probably overdue as I found the beds (and pillows) a little uncomfortable. Lastly, there was very little entertainment after 5:00. One night there were a couple of solo guitar players out by separate pools. It was great, but it was only the 1 night. Again, our overall experience was terrific. The "gripes" section of this review may seem a little long, but that is just because I hold the Marriott Stellaris to a very high standard. I would absolutely stay here again."
