"If you like a rusty mirror moody bathroom toilet handle not working shower cubicle rusty and black on the steel frame cold water tap not working properly stained bedroom walls and wooden window frames rotting then this is the place for you. Couldn’t understand the lady who finally let us in but the gentleman serving breakfast was charming and very very nice. "

"This is a really lovely hotel for an even lovelier price ! The staff are very friendly, the rooms spacious and spotless and we had an excellent breakfast that kept us going all day. We would normally have stayed at the Premier Inn in Dumfries every time we come over from NI to visit family but will definitely be staying in the Holiday Inn in Dumfries from now on. "
