Super chill out beach hotel

Posted 22-Aug-2016
Fantastic chilled out resort hotel with an amazing setting. Great range of facilities. Several restaurants serving good quality food - service can be variable. Apartment was spacious. Hotel transfers (bus and boat) to Dubrovnik only run at set times and require to be pre booked and paid for in advance - can work out costly.

Nice hotel if you want a resort stay

Posted 03-Aug-2016
The hotel itself has everything you need, numerous restaurants, pools, spa, beach etc. However, the beach sunbeds and the main pool sunbeds were uncomfortable, some of the restaurants are better than others. Overall we had a nice stay, I wouldn't stay here again if I wanted something more exclusive and personal. You are limited to staying in the hotel for dinner unless you want to take a 20 minute taxi ride into Dubrovnik. Next time I will stay somewhere closer. The staff are helpful, however we got told our taxi fare would be put on our room so got out of the taxi and walked off! The taxi main started shouting saying "you pay me you pay me". The hotel forgot to tell us that they had got an external taxi company in and that we would have to pay in cash! A little embarrassing and inconvenient as we had to find an ATM. Rooms are nice, breakfast was okay. Overall had a good time.

First impressions last

Posted 29-Jul-2016
Booked a 2 bedroom apartment. On line it shows a king bed and two singles which is what I required. The description said 1 king bed. But we had a ground floor room with two King beds and despite saying the room had a balcony it was a square metre outside area hardly a balcony. The hotel tried to argue that their rooms had 2 King beds, but the photos on line clearly show different. The room we were given was much better and a balcony as advertised and was very good. So...if you are given rom 6111, ask for a different room. So be careful when booking. Eventually management sorted but the next day after a lot of protesting. That night our key card didn't work. We repeatedly called front desk to bring a new key as its a lot of stairs back to reception. But we got voicemail...really...voicemail to guests. After 45 mins I gave up. Not really 5 star quality. The trip got better. The hotel has a nice location. Staff are friendly. There are lots of steps but we knew this from other reviews and didn't mind. The restaurants are expensive but food good other than the buffet restaurant where the food is very average for the price.

A Perfect Holiday

Posted 25-Jul-2016
Pros: The staff, perfect location, choice of restaurants, cleanliness, service, the spa, the sea, the pools. Great food and good value for money.
Cons: Perhaps the beach side sundeck could benefit from some smart paving? Wine in the restaurants is expensive compared to similar quality in the UK.
Location: The views across the Adriatic to the Islands are glorious. Visit Dubrovnik, its very busy but very beautiful. Be sure to take a trip on the cable car.
A superb 10 day break in a Club Room at the Radisson Blu, everything we hoped for and more. Perfectly situated for a seaside holiday with easy access to Dubrovnik for wining, dining and sight seeing. Our second visit to Croatia which is a beautiful country with sparkling clear seas, don't think twice about going - you will love it. Customer service is excellent, without being intrusive, with enthusiastic and professional staff who are genuinely interested in making your stay as good as it can be. The boat trips are wonderful but be aware that you need to do a fair amount of walking if you opt for the Lopud trip.

An amazing stay

Posted 23-Jul-2016
We spent four nights at the Radisson which we thoroughly enjoyed and wished we stayed longer. The hotel has everything you need an atm, supermarket, cafe and five or so restaurants. I was slightly worried about how far away it was from the old town of Dubrovnik. But to be honest an afternoon/evening was enough time for us to do and see everything. The hotel has water sports and islands transfers just like in the old town. However the shuttle times to the old city are irregular they cost 45 Kuna per person per way. A taxi or private transfer is around 215 kuna each way. There is a boat transfer option aswell. So yes if you are planning on spending lots of time in the old city then you might need to way the cost up of travelling to and from. However it has amazing views, the rooms are immaculate and the staff will do all they can to help you. The only other thing to mention is that the resort also has holiday appartments. I feel like they have the best access to the restaurants and pools etc. itis abit of a walk to them from the hotel and there are a few stairs. So if you have mobility problems it's probably not the best place for you.

Spacious hotel in beautiful location

Far enough away & welcome respite from mass tourism of Dubrovnik Excellent restaurants & service Only negative is shower over bath is too hard to easily get into & is very slippery - better & safer to have walk in shower

Nice hotel but as is far from the city centre

Posted 04-Jul-2016
As the hotel is far from city centre everything costs a bit more at the hotel.
