Took awhile before getting ahold of the “owner” and they said they overbooked the property. False. This apartment is listed for let and is vacant. Do not book this property. This was a horrible place to stay, from the beginning to the end. People have been sleeping in jackets on the driveway, and. There were three overflowing bins of garbage. Once she got into the hallway, it reeked of cigarette smoke. The size of the unit was small, but that is not my complaint. Used soap in the bathroom, nothing individually wrapped for us. The people before us brush their teeth in the kitchen sink, and the kitchen sink was not cleaned out afterwards. The pillowcases were crumpled, and I don’t think had been washed. Please if you are reading this, save yourself the trouble and do not book this VRBO. I had booked this several months in advance to prepare for my trip to Ireland from the US. Flew in on a Saturday morning and explored the city the whole day until I was tired and looking forward to a bed and shower. Arrived at the property and the lockbox to enter the property was nowhere to be found. Contacted the host who at first ignored our requests for help and then proceeded to tell us the property had been “double booked”. With limited international phone service we had to drive from hotel to hotel until we found one that had a room available on Saturday night during peak tourist season. Unfortunately I did not check more recent reviews in the weeks leading up to my visit, I see this is not the first bad experience with this property. Save yourself the distress and book a hotel, the Sandymount was our saving grace and had the nicest staff after we had to deal with this horrible experience. ##### Jenna P.
