Hotel was decent but overpriced. I would probably not have gone there except for the conference I was attending. The breakfast buffet was mediocre for the price. The daily price for parking seemed high.
Top to bottom and first class experience. The wife and I had a little weekend to get away for our anniversary, and the staff, accommodations, and location were all fantastic.
I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice getaway. As an added bonus is the mattresses were much better than your typical hotel.
Stayed for 3 consecutive nights. My room was always well taken care of, as was I. Staff had answered any questions I had, and made great suggestions to inquiries I had. Compared to other hotels in the Power and Lights District I would choose this location if Amenities aren't a huge concern. Its location is prime if you are renting a car due to its large parking lot and Little thru-traffic on adjacent street.
The room was cool during the day and did not find temp control, though comfortable at night. I would like to control the temp, as I prefer less AC. Light level low by closet.Shampoo and soap smell strong. (I did not use) Think about a neutral soap etc.
To me, a 5 star hotel isn't about granite counters and crystal chandeliers, it's about what makes the hotel. I really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in KC. I was there in a group of 7 guys for a bachelor party. The only thing we all agreed on the whole time in KC was that the hotel was perfect. Free shuttle all day with Claude (the driver who is hilarious), free breakfast which was like a buffet (not just cold cereal and bagels). It's about a mile away from Power and Light, and a mile or so from West Port. Right in the middle of both. Barbecue is right down the street along with Mcdonalds and taco bell. The staff was hell bent on making sure we had a blast. They were helpful with suggestions, directions, and even cracked up with us. I loved this place. 2 queen beds in the rooms, plenty of space. Clean. Most comfortable beds ever. I mean, this place just flat out fit our needs perfectly. The only thing it didn't have was granite countertops, because you know, WHO REALLY CARES ABOUT THAT CRAP! Stay here, I promise you if you're here to explore, you will be more than thrilled with your stay. Awesome.
