My wife and I have been coming to downtown Ft. Worth for our anniversary for the last 5 years. This hotel was our favorite yet. It was a block from Sundance square and within walking distance to everything we wanted to do downtown.
It was a nice hotel. It is well situated and the staff was really nice. My only beef is that our room was awkwardly laid out and when someone showered in an adjacent room it sounded as if a jet engine took off in our room. When we had the hide-a-bed pulled out - you had to climb over it (like walk or climb on it) to get to the bathroom. Made it an unpleasant night for our kiddo whenever we had to go to the bathroom.
"Next door to TX A&M Law School with helpful staff."
Although they do charge for parking (I would too, given their location), they were quite generous about offering to let us keep the car parked in the shaded carpark while we attended the law school function. We were impressed with their friendliness and competence. Breakfast was delivered promptly at the time requested, it was very good and still warm, and the young woman delivering the food was so polite and friendly. The law school had a luncheon at this hotel and the servers were kind and attentive, the food was really good (surprising for such a large number of folks), and the room for this function was very clean and adequate for the size function. We asked for a double bed room and we were surprised at it's roominess and bright white linens. There was plenty of storage and a good sized closet with iron and ironing board in the room, as well as extra linens and a hairdryer in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and there were LOTS OF PILLOWS, YAY! It seemed like anything we could have wanted was already there in the room!
Being very near the convention center and the water gardens is another favorable point for most folks.
Pocket Guide: Downtown Fort Worth Downtown Fort Worth Hotels
Sundance Square is downtown Fort Worth’s signature destination. Here, visitors can shop, dine, and sleep in historic buildings in a 14-block area. One of the city’s gems, though, opened only in 2001. Despite its age, the Bass Performance Hall was built to match its old-time surroundings. Two 48-foot angels guard the main entrance. The Fort Worth Convention Center lies at the foot of Main Street.
