Dom Carlos I Park

Play for me. Situated in the lovely town of Caldas da Rainha, the D. Carlos I park is a gorgeous 19th century romantic garden situated in the historic centre of the town. This refreshing green area used to work as a complement of the important Thermal Hospital that named the town of Caldas da Rainha (“Queen‘s Baths“). During the 15th century the Queen Dona Leonor, wife of king Manuel the 1st, tried the therapeutic waters of Caldas da Rainha and a long lasting wound was at last cured, after many other treatments and medicines that did not work out. As the Queen realised the excellent characteristics of the waters, she ordered the construction of a thermal Hospital in 1485. The location started developing around this central Hospital

Arrived January 20 for a week. It was conveniently located, making it walkable to all areas. The room was spotless. Check in was fast and staff were very helpful. They always had their famous little tarts in the lobby with fruit water. I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel was spotless and the staff were incredible. Felix at the front desk was very helpful. Our room was perfect with a beautiful terrace over looking the river. The hotel was in close proximity to everything in Lisbon!
