The room I had overlooked the street. It was clean and comfortable. The bathroom modern and clean. There is a kitchen area in the room for self catering. The hotel has a cozy atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Of particular mention is Asmita on reception. Nothing was too much trouble. She seemed to have a difficult client on the phone but handled it well. My room was close to reception. There wasn't noise during the night, but early in the morning I was woken by footsteps and voices in the corridor. The outdoor pools look amazing. It was too cold to swim outdoors in March. However, there is a small indoor pool. It was very busy during the day, but I had it to myself in the morning. There is a small well-equipped gym. The air-conditioning in there was very loud. Some of the equipment was broken. The belt on the treadmill was slipping quite dangerously. I reported this to reception so hopefully its sorted by the time you read this. The cave bar is a great place for drinks, especially during happy hour. I didn't eat there but there is a food menu. I ate dinner and breakfast in the main restaurant. Dinner was fantastic but no drinks are included, the drinks menu was expensive €4 for 1l of sparkling water (its about €0.65 in a nearby supermarket for 1.5l) Overall it's a great hotel. I don't think you'd be dissapointed if you book here. However, there are better options in Malta for the money." One of the highlights is the rooftop pool with amazing views. The food is good, although the selection is somewhat limited, and at breakfast there were no pancakes or omelettes available. If you are renting a car, parking can be an issue. Overall, the hotel is a good choice, especially outside of the high season."
