Ocean Gate Inn

10/10 Excellent

"Great place loved the view"

Cozy Cottage with spectacular salt water view / 4 Kayaks available/

8/10 Good

"Loved the view. Location is great so we could do lots of day trips. There were many travel brochures, maps, guide books, and books to read for leisure time. Many places to go eat shellfish. Kitchen supplied well. Floors are a bit wonky on one side of cottage so had to go slow in kitchen and bedroom but expected as it was in rental description. The grill is charcoal so take your own. It’s rustic so don’t expect a modern hotel experience."

Hotel Pemaquid

8/10 Good

"Our only complaint is that on Tuesday morning there was no place nearby to get breakfast. The hotel had good coffee, but nothing else. There is a restaurant close by but its not open on Tuesdays. We asked the front desk about breakfast and all he said was we'll probably find something open in Damariscotta, way back by Route 1. The hotel could have supplied bagels, donuts, etc. on Tuesdays knowing the restaurant nearby was closed. We did find a diner on our way to Damariscotta but it was very small and we were told its a 45 minute wait. Since we had to go to Damariscotta, where we did find breakfast, we continued our travels and did not return to Pemaquid where we might have visited the Fort, etc."

10/10 Excellent

"We were very comfortable in Martha’s house! Very clean, well stocked, obviously she likes to bake/cook! Had a little trouble locking up door as it told us it wasn’t locked when it clearly was, no issue w/ check in code. The book collection and Down East magazines were amazing, we brought books and sewing projects…never turned on the TV. Anyone w/ mobility issues should be carful w/ thresholds, few steps and rugs. Thank you for sharing this lovely house, so cozy!"

10/10 Excellent

"What a beautiful property and houses. The host is unbelievable in so many ways. The communication and responsiveness is second to none. The pictures in the listing are very accurate and the kitchen is very well stocked with everything that you need and then some! We had seven people in our party and everyone was wowed. This experience sets the bar very high for future properties I may rent. Thank you Jessica for sharing this wonderful property with the rest of us."
