Emotions by Hodelpa Puerto Plata - All Inclusive

"We had a wonderful stay at Emotions by Hodelpa in Puerto Plata. The resort is clean and well-maintained, and the staff is warm and welcoming. The beach was excellent—soft sand, clear water, and plenty of seating. The pools were also great, especially the swim-up bar and activity pool with music and entertainment. The food was very good overall. The buffet offered fresh options, and we especially enjoyed the Italian restaurant, which we visited multiple times. The Dominican restaurant was good, while the Mexican was our least favorite. The coffee shop and beach bar were highlights, and the fried chicken at the beach bar was outstanding. The wine-and-cheese bar was perfect for a quiet, romantic evening. Our room was spacious and clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job daily. The swim-up room upgrade is worth it. Guest services were also excellent—Celine was very helpful throughout our stay. The one major drawback was aggressive sales pressure from Frank and Juan, who repeatedly approached us multiple times a day to sell resort vacation packages, even after we said no and expressed that we were feeling harassed. This felt very intrusive and impacted our experience. Overall, we still enjoyed our stay and felt it was a good value, but the sales pressure was a significant negative."

"A little snafu at first, I booked a room with mountain view, but when I got to it the windows were frosted, so there was no view at all! There was also some hair pins and what looked to be a coffee stirrer on the nightstand. But when I brought this to the attention of the hotel staff, Roger (manager) quickly made things right!!! We were given a room which was clean and had the requested view. This stay was great, and the staff was amazing. I would highly recommend, and would book again whenever I return to the Santiago area!"

"I've stayed at this hotel twice and had a really great experience both times. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant serves free breakfast and has an excellent menu. I highly recommend for solo or companion travel."

"The Resort is great but is in Need of Renovation and restoration ASAP . WiFi does not work in the room . Besides that the Staff are really nice and The Breakfast is TOP TIER. I would recommend this Resort To Any Couple. There are also Shows every night. Great place to spend time with Partner while relaxing ."

"Brand new, Places is great, the staff is awesome. I traveled with my wife and two small children to the hotel. I stayed for about a week. I found it to be very nice. They had gated parking for my bicycle & for my rental car. The location for me was a good one just down the hill to Yenny‘s market also not too far from From The Beach. The breakfast is included and it was really very good. My family and I enjoyed the pools so very much. I would definitely stay here again. The pool table & ping-pong were lots of fun. I would definitely recommend this hotel. I ordered the pasta. My two hungry babies were able to split it. It was a bug portion. My wife liked the tropical drinks. I would stay here again. There is nice areas to bicycle around near the Lagoon. It’s quiet over there. They also have a rooftop pool, which is pretty cool. The staff is very helpful. Many speak very good English others know enough to get by in order to assist you well. The bed was quite comfortable. I had friends stop by. They liked the place & said it was really good. I like the coffee & my children like the watermelon drink with the ice. I find the place to be well maintained / very clean. I got a 2 bedroom, it had 1 king size bed, 1 queen size bed, two full bathrooms. The televisions were in each room along with the air conditioners.. Everything was modern. It’s a wonderful view of Mount Isabella that you see when you have breakfast or lunch the food was rather tasty. We ate lunch there a few times"
