The best service and staff one can dream of, not a thing they didn’t sort out for me, and they were great fun, too! I had an amazing stay, two, actually, as I booked again after a few days out of Abidjan. 10/10

Detente hotel is a hidden gem of a hotel. The rooms and bathroom are finished to a high standard, the front desk staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, with some English spoken. Good selection for breakfast and served in room. Cosby little bar in the quadrangle. All in all, very pleasant stay. It is around 30 plateau, but easy to get taxi from hotel. Not in the best of areas of Abidjan, but worth a visit. I would certainly return for another stay. Internet worked well also.

The breakfast is fantastic.
This place is central to so many things, it is residential and posh, it is in a small street, but you can walk to the high street
Make sure you tip them good.

It is a very modern hotel with nice sunny rooms. Modern shower even if water pressure could have been stringer. In centre of city, walkable to many supermarkets, restarants, banks, etc. Train station next door with some goodd train hooting at nigjt. Quite atmospheric. Breakfast was iok with fresh fruit and nice omelette. What was less good, was that you had to pay extra (3£50) for coffee from machine (the free option was hot water and nescafé sachets. They were kind to let me stay till 2 pm for...
