Great one bed apartment with plenty of room and excellent facilities. Staff were super helpful. Walk into the centre was around 25 mins. Supermarket nearby as well as a few restaurants & cafes.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Observatory Hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of character and history, and the location in the Arts Centre, right opposite the Botanic Gardens, is fantastic. We loved being able to walk everywhere and explore Christchurch from such a central yet peaceful location. Our room was beautifully decorated, comfortable and full of lovely little touches. The whole hotel has such a unique feel, it’s much more than just a hotel and feels like you’re staying...

Good area, nearby shops, fridge and small kitchen included

Very nice and clean room. Fantastic reception staff despite arriving 10 minutes late she was there and very polite, pleasant and helpful. Kitchen is complete Not enough parking space but she gave us some good options.

The room was very well equipped and comfortable. It made the last few days of our holiday extremely enjoyable.

Large central modern hotel in great location

Very good

On the edge of Christchurch, rather than in the heart of it, but everywhere was in easy walking distance. So too was Hagley Park. We really enjoyed our stay. The owners were great and the rooms were huge, with everything you might need.

Great value and staff super nice

I had a standard double room that was more than adequate for a short stay in Christchurch. However, my main selling point for this hotel would be the fact that Tram Stop Number One is literally outside the front door. I last went to Christchurch 10 years ago, before the earthquake, and the current situation is still quite staggering. Even the taxi drivers complain about driving around town so the use of the tram to get about was very welcome. I stayed a few days at Hotel 115 before joining a...

Lovely room, amazing shower and bed. Great staff, great coffee.

This hotel was perfect for our needs in Christchurch. It’s in a good and very quiet location, the staff were very pleasant and the facilities including the laundry were excellent for travellers.

Great staff, super nice stay

Good option for anyone arriving or departing via the airport - its just a couple of minutes away.

Friendly, helpful, staff. Excellent, well equipped apartment. Good location 10 minutes walk to City Centre. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Salerno again.

This was a really nice motel in a great, walkable location to the CBD. It reminded me of the townhouse we used to rent in a similar location - very well equipped, and perfect for friends or a family to call home whilst visiting the garden city

I have been travelling around New Zealand for 3 weeks and this is by far the best accommodation that I have stayed in. It’s also very well priced and to be honest I would have expected to have had to pay more for such good accommodation and brilliant location in Christchurch. The rooms are spotless and the beds are so comfortable along with the staff being so polite and welcoming. The facilities are very good and in reception you have plenty of room to just sit and have a chat in. I liked it...

Clean and spacious room and excellent facilities
