"Great choice if looking for a budget option near the airport. Amenities were quite nice, bathroom was clean, and staff was very helpful. Not a ton of space, but very doable for a night or two."

"Neat place to stay with a group of families as the kids enjoyed the trampoline. Nice and close to shops and places to eat. Property is a little dated and could do with a good thorough clean but was fine for us and we would stay again."

Great one bed apartment with plenty of room and excellent facilities. Staff were super helpful. Walk into the centre was around 25 mins. Supermarket nearby as well as a few restaurants & cafes.

On the edge of Christchurch, rather than in the heart of it, but everywhere was in easy walking distance. So too was Hagley Park. We really enjoyed our stay. The owners were great and the rooms were huge, with everything you might need.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Observatory Hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, full of character and history, and the location in the Arts Centre, right opposite the Botanic Gardens, is fantastic. We loved being able to walk everywhere and explore Christchurch from such a central yet peaceful location.
Our room was beautifully decorated, comfortable and full of lovely little touches. The whole hotel has such a unique feel, it’s much more than just a hotel and feels like you’re staying...

Very friendly and helpful owners. Well equipped room, with hob, microwave, table and chairs so a comfortable meal could be had. Very convenient for town centre, on a bus route and an easy walk to local supermarket, restaurants etc.

I have been travelling around New Zealand for 3 weeks and this is by far the best accommodation that I have stayed in. It’s also very well priced and to be honest I would have expected to have had to pay more for such good accommodation and brilliant location in Christchurch.
The rooms are spotless and the beds are so comfortable along with the staff being so polite and welcoming.
The facilities are very good and in reception you have plenty of room to just sit and have a chat in.
I liked it...

This hotel was perfect for our needs in Christchurch. It’s in a good and very quiet location, the staff were very pleasant and the facilities including the laundry were excellent for travellers.

Room was very clean and well equipped
Eatery’s near by if required and a very convenient bus service to city centre just 1 minute away, we would happily recommend.

I had a standard double room that was more than adequate for a short stay in Christchurch. However, my main selling point for this hotel would be the fact that Tram Stop Number One is literally outside the front door. I last went to Christchurch 10 years ago, before the earthquake, and the current situation is still quite staggering. Even the taxi drivers complain about driving around town so the use of the tram to get about was very welcome. I stayed a few days at Hotel 115 before joining a...
