The beaches are spectacular and pristine. We snorkled every day and every day we saw sea turtles and tons of beautiful fish. In the hotel grounds there are pools with sea turtles, rays, sawfish, sharks, etc. The waterslides are exciting even for older kids and adventurous adults, and the the rapid river is huge, wraps around the whole park area and is tons of fun. There are lifeguards all over, and lifejackets readily available for little ones. The beaches have plenty of loungers with shade covers. There are lots of options for food and drinks while you by the pool or on the beach. The pools are also numerous and beautifully designed. Lots of options for dining. Lots of nightlife as well: casino, night club, teen night club, arcade, a colonial style street scape with reataurants, stores, and cool places to grab drinks. Truly relaxing spot, and incredibly beautiful. Ok so what wasn't so great: The prices are wild...no other way to say it. This is partly due to the fact that this is an island and everything is imported (food an drink). But everyhing at Atlantis is exceptionally expensive. A pizza will set you back 70 bucks. Minigolf costs 44 dollars US per person. Why? The place was built in 1990 and is showing its age. Lots of minor repairs needed. Usually 50% of waterslides open on any given day. Overall amazing though and wonderful people. We'd go back.
