"Upon arrival we realized this is not a farm but a little small holding. All units less than 15 feet from each other. A Large Barn is also right opposite the cottages where workers are staying. Drawers in kitchen not in good condition, small stove in a terrible condition. Dead ants in the cupboard. The Sunday morning the workers who stay in the barn opposite the cottages were painting and playing terrible and very loud music. This was not a nice Sunday morning on a farm. "This was one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. It was scenic, top service, amazing meals and in a great location. The most important part was the staff. They are the most welcoming, kind and considerate staff. I had a bit of a stomach flu and the entire staff was going out of their way to help me. They made me ginger tea and the chef made me chicken soup. It was so nice. I highly recommend this property and Franshhoek as a place to visit. "

"The Grande Roche is a wonderful place with such kind, happy and thoughtful management and staff. In particular thank you to Marchello, Denai and Veena for making my stay so comfortable - you are wonderful people! The whole vibe is very chilled and friendly. The views out onto the grounds and vineyards are stunning - the landscaping and gardening give a sense of luxury and connection with nature. I really loved the sense of calm. The room was beautful, and the breakfast was delicious with plenty of cooked to order choices, and I will miss dining next to the fire in the evenings - the chef was amazing! Thank you to all the staff at Grande Roche - keep up the amazing work!"
