Hotel staff advised the only way to cool the room would be to turn off the AC or open the window, to which…. - The window opens onto the indoor gym! Imagine waking up to someone running on the treadmill at 5am - The room did not have a coffee machine, this is unacceptable for a 4 star hotel. There was a kettle and two empty cups with no tea or coffee - In a city that rains often, you would expect the hotel to let guests borrow umbrellas, unfortunately this wasn’t available - I selected to pay at the property…but was charged on my card a week prior to my stay - Finally….my details were leaked! The hotel itself is modern, clean and of a good standard. Staff were friendly and everything seemed fairly new and well maintained. We didn't make use of the breakfast facilities or bar so can't really comment but they looked quite inviting. The room was a good size for two with a spacious, comfortable bed. As a light sleeper I really appreciated how quiet it was. There was no noise from outside the hotel at all. The only down side was the neighbourhood which was really quite sketchy. The main route from the hotel to the old town runs through a district called San Francisco which is should be avoided at night.
