Address was different to what was given on here. Had to wait over an hour for check in time evenknow we arrived within check in time. When we asked about the room being premium we were ignored. On boat staff were fine and accomodating which is the reason I didnt give a lower rating. We ended up booking another place for the second night because we were so disappointed. If you're looking for the backwater experience in true comfort and style then this gives you that. We hired a day boat which picked us up from the bottom of the garden. We spent the evenings watching the boats go by and the chinese fishing nets being used. We were glad we chose this resort as we really did relax, and have a lovely break so for us, it is probably the best resort in Alleppey! The resort is located in Beautiful lush green surroundings, very peaceful and serene that is very pretty. The staff all work hard to look after it from the ground staff and cleaners, to room service and management. Adarsh, Saidul, Matthew made us feel special, spoke good English and understood our requirements, feedback and gave great customer service. It was our 25th anniversary and they gave us balloons and decorated the room, as well as a freshly made cake which we all really enjoyed and appreciated. The food is excellent!! We didn’t go anywhere else as it was so comfortable, everyday there was plenty of choices. Dipankar, Manoj, Saidul and the Chefs are excellent and passionate about their restaurant, they gave us great service throughout. Aditi and Marcy are also doing very well. The activity room is excellent, with good options for all ages, especially the Table tennis / pool table. The room service staff including Akshay and Shalini are thorough and very friendly too. Overall we had an amazing stay because the location, food, staff were very good so it was one of our best family holidays abroad. Thanks to all the staff at Sterling Lake!
