Amazing place!

Me and my family stayed 6 nights at the fleur-de-lis and it was everything described and so much more! Its an awesome place from location to the pool and all the amenities. David the owner is very responsive to any and all questions. He went above and beyond! If you are on the fence about booking this property don’t hesitate, book it.

Best vacation ever!!

I cannot say enough about this house and the hosts! The house is incredible and easily accommodated our crew of 16. This was our 1st trip with 2 families and we cannot wait to do it again! The hosts were lovely and so helpful with anything we needed. Do not look at any other houses, this house is perfect in every way. The location could not be any better, the house made us feel like celebrities. The space allowed for everyone to come together, but also had a places to go if they needed alone time. We will be back!!

Great house, great location

As a family we have been doing beach vacations for many years. We have always done condos. This was our first time renting a beach house. We couldn’t have picked a better home. The house itself had every amenity we could hope for plus the location (and ocean views) were perfect. David is an excellent host. He met us our first day and gave a walk through which was very helpful. We had a great week and we’re already planning our next trip.

Wonderful stay

David and his wife were exceptional hosts. David met us at the house to welcome us and gave us excellent information about the house. Any issues or questions we had, were addressed promptly. The home had many amenities (everything we needed and then some). Decor was beautiful, beds comfortable, and location was perfect. Our family was there for a group vacation. Nineteen of us stayed and we never felt crowded. We recommend this property for large families. Thank you David for sharing your beautiful vacation property with us!!!

Beautiful Labor Day Getaway

My husband and I gathered our close friends and their children for our first non multi-unit condo Destin vacation, and we are never looking back! The peacefulness of having a place (particularly a pool!!!) all to yourself makes this property beyond worth it. The location can’t be beat - steps from the beach and The Crab Trap, plus just a short drive back west to the harbor or east to Baytowne Wharf. David was so easy to work with whenever we had questions or concerns. Don’t wait to book!!!

WOW, WOW & WOW!!!

This villa is absolutely the best VRBO property I have ever stayed in!!! David was so helpful at check-in and even came personally to check our TV. You won't be sorry if you rent this villa. Everything we needed was there! Our blended family of 10 spread out in the home and had plenty of room for private quiet time but had 2nd floor for gathering together to watch tv, play games, & eat together. Loved this place and the care David and his wife have given to making this a memorable vacation destination!!! Thanks for the memories.

Delighted in Destin

Our stay in Destin was amazing. We have visited many locations and stayed in many rentals and Fleur De Lis was the the best! Check in process was seamless. David is a very attentive owner and will make sure your stay is amazing. The location of the home is perfection. Our days consisted of travelling from the pool to the beach. Tough life. Temperature controls on each level are an added amenity. Speakers on each level were great too. Beds are extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend staying at this gorgeous home. Bring you binoculars to watch the dolphins swim by every morning.

5 star vacation!

What an amazing week at a phenomenal house. Our family of 18 included 6 kids ages 5 and under. In spite of this there was space for everyone and we never felt crowded. Everything in the house is high quality and the beds are so comfortable. This was by far the nicest house I’ve ever had the pleasure of renting and we’ve been making annual beach trips for over 20 years. David was an amazing host and spent over an hour with us the day we arrived to ensure we understood how everything worked. The house is much smarter than I am so this time with David was invaluable. There were no surprises as everything is as described. As a result, we’ll definitely rent this house again.

Just what we needed

Our vacation had a purpose of starting the grief healing process. After losing our father in death we decided as a family to meet in Destin to just be together and process our loss. This house was perfect for that. All the space we needed for all age groups. We didn't do much outside exploring of the area but the house, pool, beach and awesome walking path gave us all we needed. David met us at the house upon arrival to explain a few of the homes functions- very glad he did, the house is a solid home with lots of extras that add to the enjoyment. The homes speaker system was fantastic allowing us to enjoy music throughout and those who wanted it a little more quiet had their own room controls. Our kids felt very spoiled with all the room and TV's. The endless supply of ice was the icing on the cake. Thank you David for making our stay 'just what we needed'.

Family Vacation May 2024

We stayed at this home May 11-18th with 14 family members. Our first impression was that this home is magnificent! The views are breath taking from every level. The beach is directly across from the house, only steps away. We found it to be very well equipped in the kitchen with the exception of stemmed wine glasses. Plastic wine glasses were available in abundance. The sound system in the house was awesome with every room having its own volume control. Bath towels were abundant. All beach necessities are available in the garage; beach chairs, noodles, canopy, floating devices, etc. which we found to be a great perk! All in all, the group as a whole had zero complaints. The owner was very communicative when we had questions. My only recommendation would be that a book with all important information about the home would be helpful for renters and also reduce phone calls and texts with questions. We would love to visit again and highly recommend this home for your large group. It was an amazing trip!

Watch the ocean from your porch!

My family of 18 had a wonderful vacation while staying in "watch the dolphins swim by" house. It was just as described. The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. I loved all the art work and decorating touches to make the house feel beachy, if that is a word. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, silverware and cooking pots. There was plenty of room for food we bought. It was nice having a washer and dryer on the first and third floors. We paid for the elevator which came in handy when we first arrived and when we left. We really did not need it during the week. The pool was cleaned three times while we were there. That was very nice. The pool was a bit smaller than expected but room enough for 7 children to have fun. The shower/hose was nice to rinse off after coming in from the beach. There are a ton of beach chairs, boogie boards and children's beach toys in the garage. There were also two wagons to haul things to the beach. My favorite part was the covered deck/patio from the 2nd level. It had plenty of chairs to sit, people watch and enjoy the ocean. The moon over the water was beautiful. It was nice being so close to the beach. Put up your tent/chairs early since the front row gets filled quickly. It was convenient to be able to walk to the restaurant across the street. It had great food too. I had suggested to the owner that they might add some cushions to the pool chaise lounges. I would stay at this rental again! The owners were very nice.

We had an amazing week at this beautiful property! You will have a fantastic view and lots of space to relax. The owner goes above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable and understand how to operate the many extra features of this house. We had 7 adults, 1 teenager, and 6 children ages four and under. We had a fabulous vacation! This home is nothing short of perfect for your family vacation. David was the best host. He met us at the house right at check in and gave us a detailed tour-showing us how to use the sound system, the lighting and answered any questions we had. The house was equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of space for our large group. Comfortable beds, nice linens, very clean, easy walk to the beach and local restaurants. David was always quick to respond to any questions I had leading up to our stay and while we were there. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others!
