When you arrive, you'll enter The Copper Cay with a code on our keyless entry keypad, for added convenience! Immediately to the right, you can flip the switch on for the lamps to shed some cozy ambient lighting. You'll walk right in to the living room that welcomes you with a comfortable Queen sleeper sectional & a cozy seating area under the TV for everyone to enjoy each other's company. We have a 65" Smart TV. Guests can feel free to login to their own streaming services (Netflix, YouTube, etc.) during your trip! Our entire back wall of the condo brings a gorgeous amount of natural light in from the floor to ceiling windows & sliding doors. Our dining area sits right in the center of the windows, with easy access to the small patio to sit and sip a cup of coffee in the sunshine at either table - inside or out! Our laundry room, with a full sized washer & dryer, iron, and ironing board, is situated directly next to the dining area as well. Our kitchen area is where we've really put the name "Copper Cay" into play. Our backsplash will have you saying "Ooooooh" with its shiny copper finish, along with all the small accents we've put throughout our place. Everything is a full open concept to the living room with 4 metal stools at the beautiful quartz breakfast bar for enjoying your meals and time together. We've stocked this kitchen with full appliances, dishes, bake ware, pots & pans, silverware, utensils, crockpot, blender, and a traditional coffee maker & Keurig! If you plan to cook during your trip, we encourage you to bring along any spices, condiments, & oils you may need as we do not provide any perishable or non-perishable items. We have an easy to use high chair, pack and play, and plastic dinnerware, utensils, & cups for our tiny travelers as well! Directly off the living area you can find that "Life is So Good" in our farmhouse styled bedroom with a 12" cooling gel memory foam King bed with an abundance of pillows for a comfortable nights sleep. A 50" Roku enabled tv here is perfect for relaxing in bed watching your favorite shows at the end of the day. For those with extra guests, we have two Twin fold out memory foam mattresses & linens stored in the closet. A pack and play is also offered for families with little ones traveling-one less item to pack! The bathroom offers a shower & tub combo with sliding glass doors, a beautiful lighted copper vanity area, soft towels, and plenty of space to get ready in. We’ve designed this space with the comforts of home in mind - spacious, welcoming, and nothing like a cramped hotel bathroom, to ensure our guests have a top notch experience at the Copper Cay! You’ll also find charcoal grills throughout the community for guests to enjoy a relaxed cookout. PLEASE read our house rules in detail before booking. We take time to put important information here that we need each guest to take into consideration when booking our home. While not all items listed may apply to your stay, we host guests of various group compositions so we must list all rules that could apply to a trip. Thank you for your understanding! The Neighborhood: • Gulf Terrace Condominiums are located in the heart of Destin, just minutes away from a variety of dining, shopping, and local hotspots. • You’ll be less than a mile from June White Decker public beach access, Big Kahuna’s Water Park, and The Track Family Fun Parks, making it easy to enjoy all the area has to offer! • Our complex offers the convenience of two entrances! The main entrance takes you directly onto Destin’s main highway, while the side entrance lets you exit onto a side street with a stoplight, perfect for avoiding traffic when the town gets busy. Getting Around: • During busy times it can be easier to take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to avoid dealing with traffic and parking. The town is fairly easy to navigate, as most everything to do is directly off the main road through in either direction! • Airport Distances: Destin FL (VPS) - 18 miles Panama City FL (ECP) - 51 miles Pensacola FL (PNS) - 54 miles Other Things to Note: • This is a second-floor unit accessed by stairs only, with no elevator. You may occasionally hear noise from neighboring units or common areas, which is outside of our control. Please note this unit is part of a shared building, not a stand-alone home. • Linens and beach towels are provided. A courtesy supply of essentials (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, trash bag, dish and laundry detergent) is included. For longer stays or larger groups, please bring any additional supplies you may need. • Please note that beach equipment and beach supplies are not provided. • Trailer, RV, box truck, or watercraft parking is not permitted in the complex. HOA towing fees apply for any violations. • As this is a residential complex, a 10PM noise ordinance is in effect. Excessive noise, parties, illegal activity, or disturbances are not permitted at any time. • All stays with house-trained pets must be disclosed at booking, as a $50 pet fee applies. We allow a maximum of 2 dogs. Pets must be crated when unattended, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after them indoors and outdoors. Pets are not allowed on furniture. • ADA-recognized service animals are exempt from the pet fee, but Emotional Support Animals (ESAs) are not. Please note that providing false information about a service animal is against state law, so we appreciate your honesty. • While this condo isn’t directly on the beach and the beach is not visible from the unit, public beach access is just a short ¾-mile drive away. We do not have a gated or private beach access at this location. • This is a mixed community with both full-time residents and short-term guests. Building exteriors are being updated gradually, which is outside our control, but we’ve created a cozy, comfortable space inside for your stay. Close to everything Everything was great with exception of the TV. The WiFi due to no internet connection did not work all week. If my husband was not with me, there is no way I would have known how to work the 2 remotes required to use the local channels. Thank you for a great week. I work remotely so it was nice to have high speed internet to be able work. The location is great, close to everything in Destin within minutes (beach, restaurants, supermarkets). The complex where the condo is located is well kept and overall quiet. There was occasionally some remodeling in a nearby unit going on or landscaping but nothing that was overly annoying. The hosts were very responsive and helpful whenever I reached out to them. I didn't have any issues during my stay. I would definitely stay here again in the future. ##### Jose G. There were a couple upkeeping things like handles falling off etc, but I think that’s pretty typical of any rental place like this. Weird that the kitchen had no outlets except at the end of the counter. Pool access was nice and we enjoyed the little pond with dozens of turtles to feed. The hosts were nice and very responsive. In general it was an enjoyable stay except for the neighbors. Horrible stink of weed wafted out of the next door condo. Other neighbors had barking dogs that would never shut up and they left outside all night. Some degenerate dillweeds were too lazy to take all of their garbage to the dumpster so they instead choose to throw it all in the back of our truck. Infuriating…Really put a damper on an otherwise fun trip. ##### Jason N. Everything about this property was seemingly painless: check in, location, and the owners were very nice and responsive. Although we found fine dog hairs throughout the property and on the bed, the owners were responsive and the necessities were there for quick clean up. From the moment I walked through the door I could smell how clean it was, not a deodorizer smell, but truly clean. The rooms were sunny and nicely decorated. I wanted to avoid the crowds of a hotel and have something interesting for the kids to do. This place was quiet and in a faulted community. We were located next to the pool and a pond where my kids fed all the turtles. After dinner we would walk to get ice cream just outside the gates. The condo was very clean and beautifully decorated. The hosts were very accommodating and were easy to communicate with. THE PLACE WAS CUTE BUT CABINETS IN BATHROOM WERE FILTHY, AND PLACE SMELLED MOLDY AND THEY KEEP IT VERY COLD, I THINK TO HIDE THE SMELL....I TRIED ADJUSTING THE THERMOSTAT, BUT IT REMAINED COLD. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK. COMPLEX DIDNT FEEL SAFE AT ALL. SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE BECAUSE THE OWNERS ARE NOT ACCOMODATING AT ALL. ITS ALL BUSINESS FOR THEM. WHAT A SHAME. We came with our teenager and small dog and the accommodations suited us all perfectly. Our son enjoyed seeing the turtles in the lake which was a short walk from our room.
