Beach Service available for rent seasonally (March - October) Exclusively located through a private gated entry in the Crystal Beach area of Destin, Emerald Dunes is a premier destination for vacationers seeking a relaxing, uncrowded beach experience. With only 6 stories and 27 units, Emerald Dunes is known for its unsurpassed beach location, sparkling blue swimming pool (seasonally heated), bubbling hot tub, and outdoor gas grilling facilities. Beach service is not included but, can be rented through the local vendor. Emerald Dunes 404 is centrally located right in the heart of this exclusive beachfront destination. This three bedroom residence has been professionally remodeled and offers dazzling views of the glistening gulf waters that extend as far as one can see. The furnishings are both elegant and stylish, which provides a decidedly upscale ambiance. The main living area has plenty of cushy seating for everyone, a flat panel HDTV, and sliding glass doors that graciously lead out onto the breezy beachfront balcony. The dining area offers a generously sized wood dining table, six chairs and additional bar seating. The open kitchen is designed with granite countertops, stainless appliances, and is fully equipped with everything needed to whip up a delicious meal. Our master bedroom features a comfortable king sized bed sitting adjacent to a picture window which offers a seriously impressive view of the emerald waters of the Gulf. The en suite master bathroom has a dressing vanity area, an additional vanity, an oversized shower with custom tile work, and a whirlpool bathtub. There is a beautifully decorated guest bedroom with a king bed, brand new mattress (Fall 2024), a flat panel HDTV, and comfortable seating. The bunk room offers a twin bed, a full bed, a trundle twin bed, and a flat panel HDTV. Both guest bedrooms share a full hallway bathroom. For your convenience, there is a stackable front load washer and dryer located in the unit. Crystal Beach in Destin is named for the unique composition of pure shimmering quartz crystal sands that makes The Emerald Coast world renowned. The sparkling sugar white sandy shore borders the ever changing translucent, emerald toned waters of the Gulf. Crystal Beach is on Scenic Gulf Drive and borders the Destiny community towards the East and the expansive Henderson Beach State Park towards the West. It was much more spacious than we imagined. The owner suite was very separate from the other two rooms; the bunk bed room was pretty tiny but still very exciting for our youngest. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could need, including tupperware, only lacking a corkscrew. The bathrooms had sample size products and one towel per guest. There was a closet stocked with beach toys, beach chairs and even a stroller---if we would have known this before our travels we wouldn't have brought our stroller or beach items. The location could not have been better and the beach was amazing. We were thankful for the private beach seeing how busy the public beach areas got when the weather was nice. Other rentals in the same building included beach chair service---that would have been nice to have but we still had fun at the beach and spent a lot of time in the pool area. Furnished appliances in good working order. We dis not use beach equipment but there was a large quantity available. The property had more security than most and that was easy to use. My wife thought that the entry door latch could have been more substantial, but it was fine. I routinely Brian’s additional door security so no worries. This property was perfectly located in Destin. Very close to shops and activities. The beachfront property had a stunning view of the Gulf with pristine white beaches and its own private beach. The condo itself was beautifully decorated and clean. The only down fall was the lack of supplies. For the amount of money that this condo cost I felt the supplies should have been provided. There were only 8 towels for 5 adult people (3 of them woman) and no normal household supplies to get through the stay. If you are driving to this location it might not be such a big deal (you can bring extra from your home). But when you fly to Destin, you will have to spend quite a bit of extra money for things like trash bags, dish and hand soap, dishwasher detergent, etc... (for only a 7 day stay). Luckily, Publix and Wal-Mart are close by. Overall, I would recommend this property for a great Destin experience. ##### Jennifer C. Yes, each restroom only comes with one role of toilet paper, but there is plenty of warning to bring your own supplies. The unit was very clean and also included plenty of space. My 20 year old and 17 year old thought the small bedroom with a bunk bed worked great. The dining room table also provided enough space for our family. Overall, everyone voted it was a great vacation and we would rent the space again. We did use Barefoot Beach Service for the beach chairs and umbrellas and would recommend them as well if you truly want a relaxing vacation and not have to haul everything down to the beach. ##### Jade D. Having access to a private beach for our condo was a game changer…we could see that the nearby public beaches were very crowded in comparison. The beach was very clean and the view of the ocean was beautiful from our balcony. There was a closet full of beach accessories that were nice to have (sand castle supplies, shovels, beach chairs, floats, boogie boards). The condo was located in a convenient location and in close proximity to several restaurants, Publix, Fresh Market, and local seafood shops. There were a couple of cute local coffee & pastry shops within walking distance to the condo. Our only complaints were that the front bedroom mattress was very uncomfortable and needs to be replaced, there were several dirty dishes in the cabinets & drawers, and the sliding glass door was very difficult to open. Lastly, there were very few supplies included (paper towels, toilet paper, dishwashing pods, etc.), but that is mentioned in the fine print in documents shared through the VRBO app, and it was easy to purchase more with Publix being so close by. Reviewer Comments: Pros: The condo was in a great location. The master, guest (Q) and living room areas were very spacious. The view from the balcony was stunning. The proximity to the beach was perfect. There is a closet with beach toys, cooler etc. The unit was walkable to Publix, restaurants & souvenir shops. It was nicely decorated and bright. Cons: The unit could use a good deep clean. There were cookies under the couch from a previous renter, the carpet in the living room has a smell that transfers to your clothes while laying on it, the refrigerator had a very strong fishy smell. The listing clearly states a starter supply of toilet paper, trash bags, etc but be prepared that “starter supply” means 1 of everything. Bring toilet paper and garbage bags or you will run out quickly. The bunk bed room is tiny and has no closet. Would be suitable for young children, definitely not teens or adults. The pool was small but sufficient. There was never really anyone there but if more than 3 or 4 families were in at a time it would be uncomfortably crowded. The beach has a chair company that rents chairs. They set up a wall of chairs and umbrellas early in the morning and rent them for $45/day (more than the $30 in the listing). We chose to buy chairs at a local store instead but quickly found that meant we were stuck behind the rental chairs with no view or easy access to the water. They make you move if you try to sit in front of their chairs (even if they aren’t being used/rented!) so if you like to be near the water’s edge or have kids you want to watch from your seat that is impossible. You sit in the hot sand and have to peek at the water through a wall of green chairs and umbrellas. It was very frustrating especially when you are paying for access to the private beach in your rental fee. Finally, as we were packing to leave, we found a giant cockroach in the master bathroom. Had we seen it earlier, I wouldn’t have been able to ##### Daniella C.
