Amazing Family House

We stayed here for our spring break trip and it was the perfect house! The bedrooms were set up so that families could stay and have privacy. The hot tub was a must have since the weather was cooler for our spring break and the pool heater made it so the kids were in the pool for the entire week! The backyard was such an oasis and super private! It was a dream kitchen filled with everything we could have possibly needed! We will definitely stay here again!

Our stay was amazing. All 18 slept comfortably. The property was perfect for a lounging peaceful weekend. We didn’t get a chance to use the pool, bikes, or golf cart but having a closed in backyard and a short walk to the beach was great. We were able to walk less than 5 mins to the beach. There’s plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The house had everything we needed. Absolutely would book this place again.

We had a very nice time. The rooms were nicely located. We put one family with baby and toddler upstairs and it was very quiet and nicely separated for early bedtimes. Couldn’t hear any noise from downstairs. Would have liked some basics like dish, dishwasher sand washer soap. The management was very responsive to needs. The refrigerator was leaking water on floor and they came within an hour to address the issue.

We stayed for a week and what a relaxing time it was. The home was fully stocked with everything we needed. The pool and hot tub was perfect to begin and end each day. Although we were a small party this house is equipped to accommodate an extremely large number of guests. We love the master bed room and are looking for dates to book this property again. Truly 5 stars.

Great place

This house really has everything you need for a big group - great pool, big kitchen, extra porch space, comfy couches, easy walk to the beach. The second fridge is a lifesaver for drinks and snacks and we had so much fun playing games at the kitchen table. Lots of laughs and fun in this house!

Ample space for a large family, less than 5 minute walk to the beach, great pool - totally shaded after 3pm. One of the AC units went out and someone was there to fix it within 3 hours of our call. No negatives at all - great house.

Perfect Oasis

Our stay with extended family and cousins was terrific. The house is beautiful and looks like something out of a magazine. Upstairs beds are definitely more comfortable than downstairs beds, but all were fine! The proximity to the beach is also fantastic. Property management company was so nice and super responsive. Only 2 challenges for our group: some of us had to work (Zoom calls) and there's not really an ideal space for this. I landed on the upstairs balcony most of the time. Also, there's not 1 full length mirror downstairs. Definitely not deal breakers. Our entire crew would stay here again!

Beautiful home!

This home was gorgeous! High ceilings, plenty of room, a second prep kitchen, relaxing patios and a very fun pool! Our whole family enjoyed every inch of this house! Very conveniently located about a block and a half from the beach entrances. The bikes were a nice touch for our teens to take off and explore. Wish we were allowed to rent a golf cart. It would’ve helped with my mother not being able to walk to the beach well. Other than that our vacation was perfect!

Great place for a large family

We enjoyed staying at this location immensely. As advertised, the house was a 3 - 5 minute, easy walk to the beach. The kids enjoyed the pool and and the adults loved sitting under the porch right next to the pool. The kitchen and adjoining laundry room with kithchen appliances served our party of 16 well. We had a party of 16, with the grandparents hosting three families with a total of 8 grandchildren. So the 4 baths and bedroom situation worked great. There are 6 bunks so be sure to check that this arrangement will work for your family. All in all a great stay.

What a beautiful home!

What a beautiful property and super attentive property management company! We enjoyed every square inch of the place! Being equipped with a pool alarm, gave us some peace of mind, being we had kids from 16 months to 16 yrs. with us. Such a valuable feature! The house was very clean and well maintained. Pool was professionally cleaned twice while we were there! The only thing I would suggest, is if you’re planning on cooking much (like us), be aware that although it is well stocked for serving/feeding a crowd, with plenty of dishware, cups & silverware & serving pieces (thank you very much), the cookware/bakeware supplies were a bit limited. Guest relations will be happy to get whatever you need, but I didn’t realize that til later in the week. I did ask for pot holders (which they delivered the very next day), but I didn’t realize I could request baking sheets, etc! Next time! I really can’t say enough about how wonderful the gang at Five Star Properties, along with the owners were. The dishwasher broke and needed a part ordered, so they sent someone from housekeeping over to do our dishes in the interim. The owner decided to actually replace the dishwasher, even tho it was covered under the warranty, so that we guests would not be without a dishwasher! We felt so well taken care of. It was wonderful!

Great Family House

Our family (14 in all) of various age ranges stayed at this property, and overall it was a great experience. The house is lovely, the beds were comfortable, the pool was fun, and the location was fantastic. We really enjoyed the bikes, golf cart, beach chairs, and umbrella that came with the rental. The management company was also helpful and responsive to our concerns. One major issue we faced was with the hot tub. Having a hot tub was big on our wish list for vacation, and it took several days and multiple calls to the property manager to get the hot tub working adequately. Rommendations to the management company/owners are: 1. Have all waivers in one place, we signed many waivers throughout the process and it would have been nice to have something mostly encompassing. 2. It would be nice to be able to invite others in your trip to the online guest book.3. In the kitchen it would be great to have some Tupperware. 4. We understand the company can't provide all household goods, but a few more towels in the kitchen would have gone a long way. 5. One big issue we had was with the description of the king bed with the "bunk beds in the room", this is simple not true. There is a set of bunk beds in the upstairs hallway, with no privacy. We had planned to put our toddler in the mower bunk in a room with us, and this simply wouldnt work with it being open to the whole houses noise. 6. All beds need a blanket provided. Including the pull out sofa, there was not one.

Beautiful home with plumbing issues

We stayed for a week in June and had beautiful weather. 7 adults and 9 kids (8-8months). This house is ideal for tweens and older. If you have younger kids, you will need to rent baby necessities which are available through the concierge service. This house is truly beautiful, and easily accommodated our space needs without feeling cramped. Expect to purchase paper goods/dish washer detergent/laundry detergent/toilet paper for a large group. You are provided a ‘starter pack’ but it realistically accommodates a small family for a week. It would be helpful to have stepstools in the Jack and Jill bathroom off the bunk room, and your kitchen needs pot holders. We arrived and learned the pool alarm wasn’t activated so we called and maintenance arrived at 1130pm that evening. He was able to kinda get something set up, but someone needed to come back in following days to get it to actually work. We had a house full of small kids and this was a huge safety issue for our group. Our biggest issue during our stay m was when the master bathroom toilet wouldn’t flush (not clogged) and to a lesser extent, the water dispenser from the fridge leaked and pooled water with every use. When maintenance came to assess, he deferred and outsourced the fridge situation. He attempted to fixed a rusted bolt on the 2nd floor master toilet and broke the toilet bowl apart. This yielded a flood in the master bathroom, and a small rain shower down the 1st floor family room wall. We were left with a mess to clean up and deal with for the rest of the night. (The dirty toilet bowl was set on clothes that were drying in the master; we used our provided towels to mop up the mess downstairs and they weren’t replaced). They did replace the toilet the following day. This company prior to arrival and during our stay had excellent customer service, yet when we had toilet water running down our walls, not a word, not a reach out. I even received a message one day prior to check out inquiring about our stay. I promptly called back and asked to speak with management about our issue and am still waiting for that follow up call. Would I stay here again? Meh. There are TONS of rental options in the Destin area. As we walked around, almost every few houses have a ‘for rent’ sign. For the price, I think we’d choose to look at all options before going with this company again.

AMAZING!!

WOW!! Where do I start.... from the moment you walk through the massive entry way to the the back of the house with a huge window looking at the pool to the amazing master suite with the balcony overlooking the beautiful (huge) pool and hot tub.... This was a wonderful vacation! The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you need, pots, pan, cups, glasses, wine glasses, plenty of silverware. Everything is in a new condition. Nice appliances. Plenty of seating for dining. Huge laundry room. All of the bedrooms were perfect. The kids LOVED the bunk room. It was hard to get them out of there :) The pool is perfect and the hot tub is a bonus. The seating outside is great for those long days at the beach. The beach is just a short 4 minute walk to your seats provided by the house. It was a great added bonus to have the 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas waiting for us daily. We used the bikes provided by the house to ride to get ice cream and around the neighborhood. We were 7 adults, 5 kids. There was plenty of room. *Suggestions* -bigger refrigerator. There is a freezer in the laundry room, but we needed a lot more space for drinks and food for the week. We only needed the freezer for ice for our coolers. -The master downstairs needs to have about an 18" extension and a rain shower head. The water goes everywhere with the current head. I was using 5 towels a day just to dry it up. I don't want it to ruin the tile work. It is warping the the wood on the cabinet because water just sits back there if you don't soak it up. A lot of wasted time when it can be avoided with a fairly inexpensive fix and save the hard work put into the bathroom. -Lights needed to be marked better, there are a LOT of switches and it took us a while figuring them out. Some lights were out. -It would be nice to have some stainless steel hooks outside to hang towel and suits to dry. -An outside spiral staircase on the side of the house leading up to the balcony. The balcony wasn't used as much as it should've been because who wants to walk through someones room constantly?? Another fairly inexpensive add-on that would add a lot of use and value to the house. -Washing machine is LOUD. It sounds like a plane taking off. My husband thinks maybe the bearings are out...... These are just suggestions and did not effect our stay or our future stay at this house. We all thought we were living in a Pottery Barn house for the week. Absolutely beautiful

Overall a great home with close access to the beach. Check in was easy and appreciate that there are 2 kings upstairs (one bunk bed in the hallway which was not used). Then there is a king bedroom, double queen with a jack and jill bathroom to double bunks on the first floor. This was great with kids.There were adequate bath towels for the home, but no beach towels, which makes it hard when traveling from out of state. We did buy some but would think for a property management group this large there would be a way to accommodate this as well. Beach access is close, but you have to find the right group to get access to the beach chairs. Easier after the first day when you know where your chairs will be. It was convenient to have 4 chairs and 2 umbrellas that came with the home and were set up daily at the beach. The pool was fantastic, appreciated the hot tub at the end of the day, and nice to have the grill for cooking. Kitchen was adequate with utensils, plates, coffee machine, toaster oven, and pots/pans. There are no spices and this may be the first home I've ever stayed at where there is nothing. I think at least leaving or having some left over spices/etc would be helpful, even if purchased and left by other guests. We ended up buying quite a bit only to waste/toss at the end of the stay- I feel like some things are easy to stay sanity between guests (cooking spray, salt/pepper, etc) and we would've left ours. Overall would stay here again if we came back!

This home is beautiful, but I would suggest that maybe the owner have a golf cart, or provide a discount for a golf cart since we had people with us that have disabilities. Water pressure needs to be looked into and also more dish towels should be provided.

NICE BUT NEEDS SOME TLC

To the owners of this lovely home I feel they should know as well as VRBO about the lack of cleaning and problem response we had while visiting Out of the Blue the week of July 11-17. When we arrived at 4:30 we could not check in, as was stated in the email I received check in was a 4:00. The was still being "CLEANED". We finally had the house around 5:00. Later that day I called about the bathroom on the first floor that would not flush and had a bowel movement in it. The air conditioning was not working well so I cleaned the air conditioner door that was loaded with dirt and my husband cleaned the actual furnace full of dust and dirt-not good for the unit at all. The TV in the upper bunkroom was not working, the backdoor handle was coming off and the liners in the bathrooms were disgusting and something like that is not that expensive to replace. I was told when I called on Sunday morning I was on a HIGH priority list for someone to come that day and fix these items. No one came and no one called. I called AGAIN Sunday evening and was told they were sorry and someone would be there ASAP. NO ONE again came. Called again on Monday and was given the same line that someone would be coming that day-AGAIN, no call and no one showed. Called AGAIN and got voicemail. Told them I was contacting Josh McLean. I sent him an email but heard nothing from him as well. VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Finally on Tuesday someone showed and fixed everything. Ridiculous to have to wait this long considering the amount of money paid for this home. Your cleaning people for what they charge us do not do a very good job. Windows were dirty, smudges all over them. Trash on the side yard, empty beer and beverage boxes. If I was the owner of this very nice home I would be VERY concerned as to how this home was being neglected.

Great stay and great service with 5 star properties

We stayed for a week and had a great stay. The walk to the beach was a tiny bit further than I thought and there were some minor things with the house that were addressed so quickly by the property manager, they were so responsive and so fast to address any issues. Things that we called for, hot tub wouldn't get hot at first (pool service was sent to address), broken vacuum (new one brought to us in an hour), batteries dead in remote, grill propane tank ran out. All issues were so minor and addressed asap. House was very spacious, we had 3 families with a total of 7 kids. The house was stocked with games and surround sound speaker system. Pool and hot tub were amazing after we finished up at the beach each day.

Perfection!

Wow, this place is just amazing! Everything is still in great condition. It is clean, spacious, perfectly located, nicely decorated, it was perfect for our group of 13. The pool, the bikes, the chairs beeing set up at the beach and all the games were a great addition. The beds are super comfortable. Just a great great place to stay!
