Since becoming new owners in 2020, we’ve completely updated the condo with all-new furniture, decor, and lighting. In 2023, we enhanced it further by creating an open floor plan, remodeling the kitchen, removing the popcorn ceiling, and installing new LVP flooring throughout. Upon entry, you’ll be welcomed by stylish coastal contemporary decor. The fully equipped kitchen features modern appliances, including a Keurig, an air fryer, and a standard coffee maker for your convenience. The bar-height dining table provides additional storage. The inviting living room includes a sofa sleeper and a 65" flat-screen smart TV for your entertainment. The master bedroom is a retreat with a luxurious king-size bed, ample storage, and an ensuite bathroom equipped with a shower/tub combo, double sinks, and granite countertops. The guest bedroom is versatile, featuring a queen-size bed, high-low twin bunk beds, and a pack-and-play playpen. The inside is upgraded all the way. Multiple pools are on site as well as a grill /gazebo area for cookouts. The VIP service including chairs and umbrellas is tremendously appreciated in the sweltering August heat! All of the Destin bars / restaurants are just a short drive to enjoy. My family amd myself traveled from Oklahoma to this Condo and the 14 hour drive was so worth it! I can't say enough about the location. The condo is a couple minute walk to the private beach! The beach was very busy each day, but with having the VIP capabilities they always had an umbrella and a couple chairs set up and ready to go for us. Walmart and target are just a short drive away for all your needs. This condo make you feel right at home. ##### Kim S. The accommodations were fantastic. We enjoyed the use of the amenities and appreciated the kitchen dishes, utensils, pots, pans and appliances. It made preparing meals a breeze. The beach was a short walk from the condo. The beach was great and we really appreciated the free beach service (chairs, umbrellas, attendent, etc). Also, having so many restaurants, shops and grocery stores so close was great for us being a family of 4! We would stay here again with no hesitation. ##### Torrey M. Reviewer Comments: We've been staying in this unit for years and we just had another great week there! The condo was nice, the staff was friendly and the weather was perfect! Love the updated look at the resort too! The only issue we had was with the beach set up and gate - it appears that the gate has been broken for some time so anyone can come onto the property. Also the usual concierge (who was amazing!) was not there all week and if anyone was there, they didn't do anything. All of the chairs are lined up in rows and pretty close to the water, making it hard to tell which ones are for the Islander. We prefer the old set up which kind of separated the resorts (it was in a horse shoe pattern). We look forward to another week next summer! ##### Jessica C. Reviewer Comments: We've been staying at the Islander for years and we love the comfort and location. This is our second time staying in this unit and it definitely needs some TLC. The furniture is fine and it's decorated nicely, but there was a weird smell that never went away, the lights constantly flicker or dim then go back to normal, and we had an issue with bugs (though I did see them spraying around the property near the end of our trip so maybe it was just that time). The paint is peeling off the ceiling in a couple of rooms as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back, but we will likely try a different unit (which is unfortunate because we really like the location and set up of this one)! ##### Jessica C. ---
