I changed rooms and upgraded from the queen-size to the king size bed as to have more living space. A good-size round table and 2 chairs came with the room for just a few dollars more. I was also pleased with how quiet the hotel normally was at night. I slept very well on comfortable beds. But the hotel is outdated, there's Motel 168 down the street much more pleasant at around the same price. This is probably the most out-dated JJ Inn I've ever been to, floor has already flipped up, and the hallway stinks and the source of that terrible smell couldn't be located. The Internet is fantastic ... I could just carry on business as usual. The fitness center is good and very well maintained. The bar had a fantastic gin and tonic, and they even stayed open late for jetlagged me. I had a huge stack of student papers I needed to scan in, and they gladly did it for me. The English level was surprisingly good. Only two people couldn't handle my requests: the omlette chef (and I was able to finish in Chinese) and the poor guy I asked to scan my paper (I had no idea how to say "feed scanner" in Chinese). Room was big, clean, and had a fantastic view. My only complaints are that I wish they had regular water at breakfast and I couldn't find the bathroom light switch for a while. Already thinking about excuses to come back."
