"Staff are fantastic Main part of the hotel, bar etc are clean and modern. Note the bar closes at 9.30 Room was very cold and dated cosmetically Clean bedding and comfortable beds and towels clean and good quality tho. Main issue we found ( 2 people in 2 seperate rooms booked ) The shower / hot water system needs a major overhaul urgently. Bathroom sink taps bearly worked. Mixer shower was also at best adequate I would class this as a trucker / work person hotel."

"Stayed for one night on a coastal trip up north, although nothing to complain about regarding the property , we were expecting more for the price we paid. Breakfast was nice had a menu choice option of cooked dishes, the property still felt like a more up market B&B. Limited accommodation choices in the village and surrounding area likely allows for the higher price points."

"The Tempus is such a beautiful hotel. Each room is magnificently decorated, and has a sense of luxury and elegance. The bar and breakfast are ideal and, again, beautifully designed. Driving up the mile long tree-lined drive, you know you’re in for something special, and The Tempus does not disappoint. Thank you for a lovely stay!"

"Hotel was spotless and generally spectacular. Major issue was not being able to get a lounger at the spa, and when mentioned to the spa staff very little was done to help (there were many loungers not being used, and proper policing would have made this more enjoyable for all) A handful of others had the same experience. Overall, the spa overpromised and under delivered for us, but stay was otherwise flawless"

"Loved our long weekend at the Black Bull. Very busy pub, but as we were on the second floor no noise issues. Smashing Sunday lunch and all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lady behind the bar who checked us in. Only issue was no lift and the stairs are quite steep, so definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Would not hesitate to recommend and will stay again. "
