"A lovely property which had everything we needed. It was clean and well maintained with a luxurious feel- lovely big bed and high quality towels. The only thing to be aware of is that the garden isn't enclosed so we had to keep a close eye on our dog when the patio doors were open in the sunshine "
Kennacraig - gateway to Scottish Highlands & Islands, luxury country house
10/10 Excellent
"Kennacraig Lodge was unreservedly the best accommodation we have ever stayed in. The owners provided absolutely everything in their beautiful property to ensure that we had a relaxing fun filled holiday. They provided everything for our 1 yr old granddaughter, our young children and parents and grandfather. Large selection of books, games, snooker table, badminton, volleyball, crab fishing equipment and lots more. Spacious comfortable rooms and beds with tasteful artworks and furniture. We would highly commend the location and quality of this property."
"Excellent property to consider when visiting Islay. Especially if you want to also get a round of golf in on Links style course along with all the whisky tours."
Beautiful 10 person modern bungalow in Bruichladdich with stunning views
10/10 Excellent
"What a gem of a bungalow in beautiful Islay! The house was spotless. We are a group of two families (6 children, 10 total) traveling around Islay. The beds were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. The best part was the VIEW! Located right on the water, you cross the street and are on the beach. The kids were able to cross the street in the evenings to play. We walked to two of our restaurants, which was a short 2 mile walk along the loch into Port Charlotte. The house is about 5 houses down from Bruichladdich Distillery! We frequented the mini-mart, which was 3 houses down and had a lovely owner who made hot sandwiches and coffee as well. We had the best time in Islay- so many things to do and see. We hope to be back, and we would be lucky to get to stay in this beautiful home!! Truly an unforgettable experience!!Photo 1 on the beach in front of the bungalowPhoto 2 the pathway to Port CharlottePhoto 3 highland cow on our path, walking to Port Charlotte. "
"The staff are angels on earth! Karl helped me fix a ferry/bus schedule problem and saved me from being stranded across the island in the dark. Lorna saved me from another transportation oversight I made, connecting me with a taxi driver that kept me on schedule. Without them my whole trip to Islay would have been a disaster, but instead, it was wonderful! Oh, and the hostel is lovely, clean, informative, and peaceful. "
"Very friendly staff, nice breakfast walking distance to pubs , shopping and other convenient facilities. Comprehensive local information provided in room. Nice relaxation area"
