We came to see the Juno Beach museum, and this hotel is ideally suited to see the museum and to see the actual beach landing site.

Lovely location and reasonable breakfast. No smoke alarm in room and room was at the top of 2 flights of twisting narrow stairs. Overall the room was shabby and in need of refurbishment. Mould around window.

Great place to Stay
It was a great stay! Super friendly staff, food was delicious and its a few steps away from the beach. Good to know: Its around 2hrs away from Mount St Michel so if you come from Paris you can drive here and then continue to the Mount.

We booked a room with two beds and they gave it away. They moved a bed that was basically a cot into what we were told was the only available room. It was uncomfortable and unstable. Halls were filthy and poorly lit. The only good thing was the location near the Juno Beach Centre and restaurants. Look elsewhere.

They have absolutely great staff, a great location Estella to food and convenient to Juno Beach. Just a reminder like many other European hotels there isn’t an elevator.

Great Hotel, would highly recommend
We absolutely loved this Hotel by the Beach. Close to Ohama Beach/Normandy. Would definitely return to this beautiful Hotel. The Staff was very friendly, we also enjoyed sitting outside in the Restaurant in the evening to enjoy some drinks. It was a dream come true for us

the room was, as expected, small. Clean the property overall was nicely kept. It was conveniently located to the Juno Beach Centre. The onstreet parking was adjacent to the hotel. The restaurant served well-prepared and tasty fish dishes. The breakfast was very good

It is right overlooking Juno beach on the main street. The hotel predates WWII and gives a sense of what it would have been like to visit this beach town then. There is a good restaurant with outdoor seating attached to the hotel. Can't be beat for visiting Juno beach and walking in the path of the men who came on D-Day.

The hotel was definitely aged and historic. No elevator, Nd no one offered to carry your suitcase. No air conditioning, or even a fan to move the air. Restaurant was good if you were having drinks but when you ordered food you waited a long time. The food was ok... The staff had no staff member fully versed in English. I know were in another country, but a tourist spot touting Canadians should offer English. It was one night we survived, I wouldn"t stay more than one night.

Great location, close to the Canadian Juno beach centre. Property is a bit older but well maintained and clean. Lots of free parking across the street and the breakfast offered was great. I would recommend this hotel especially to anyone interested in visiting the area to see the Canadian D day locations. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nostalgic Grand hotel at Juno Beach
It is a typical quaint French hotel and if you want to have an experience that is authentic to the time of WW11 this is a great option. The dining room is elegant and sophisticated. Breakfast had a beautiful selection. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful stay. There was a bit of a problem but they addressed immediately and satisfactorily.

Good all round hotel a bit tied but looks Like the owner is trying to improve things. We were cycling was given an locked area for Bikes so good for us.

Good hotel for visiting the Canadian D-Day sights
We were looking for a good place to stay near the Canadian Memorial Centre along Juno Beach in Normandy, This hotel is central, very near the beach, is easy walking distance to all areas of interest, and has a good restaurant. I recommend it and would stay here again.

Great stay!
The location was perfect! The staff were friendly and very helpful. It's a lovely old but charming hotel. The room was a bit small, but bed comfortable. As there is no elevator, the stairs were a bit difficult as the staircase was narrow. The food was most enjoyable.

Very cute hotel from the outside. Great location.
Hotel was very close to the beach. The rooms were small and very basic. Clean and quiet. The walls however were very very thin. In the room next door, I could hear his phone vibrate and all conversations. Was very happy he didn't snore.

The regular rooms in the hotel might be plenty fine but the only space they had available for us was the "Apartment". This place should have a separate rating system. This is attic space converted into marginal living space. It stunk of cigarettes, had the filthiest TV remote I have ever seen, and I could not stand up to shower because the ceiling was only about 4 1/2 feet high over the tub. We attempted to get additional info about the room before coming but got no response. One word review? FUNKY!

Quaint Old Beach Hotel
Located close to the beach, this old hotel has French Victorian charm. A winding staircase leads upstairs, although a newer addition behind the hotel may be more accessible. Rooms are small but comfortable. Nice restaurant -a bit better than the average tourist fare available most other places.

Great Hotel, just consider.........
The hotel was excellent, clean, the staff spoke good enough English to understand and were patient enough for my French. The room was clean and spacious (3 bedrooms) and they were (very) comfortable. The one thing that was very odd was the bathroom, since we were on the top floor and the pitch of the roof there was an angle to the ceiling, which in turn made it impossible to shower (I'm 6'2") instead I had to sit in the tub to wash up. The hotel restaurant was very nice, we had breakfast in the morning the croissants were incredible and the fresh squeezed orange juice was as fresh as you can get ( you put the oranges in yourself). Some of the things to consider, the hotel from the Caen train station is about a 30 minute car/taxi ride (€55), and the bus takes well over an hour with multiple stops. The sun sets late (11pm) and the restaurants close early @ 1000. Doesn't sound like much but you will lose track of the time because the sun stays up and will miss dinner if you are not careful. The Juno Beach museum is a 5 minute walk, there are a number of things to see outside of the museum (pillboxes, cannons, bunkers, etc... It was well worth the walk to see it, and step back in history. Being this was our first time to the Normandy coast, we didn't realize the expanse of the beaches,you will need to taxi or drive up the coast to see Utah and Omaha if you stay here. Overall I would stay here again, but would rent a car near the train station to get around.

Close to Juno Beach Centre
We stayed here only one night on our way through the area visiting Normandy WWII sites. Room was quite small and we had to lug our bags up the stairs. This, of course, is not unusual in older hotels, but the stairs were long and curved, so a little awkward. On the upside, it,s close to Juno Beach Centre and there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

We had a very Good and pleasant stay at HdP in Courseulles-Sur-Mer. Location is fantastic and so is the staff. The Hotel is charming and sufficient comfortable but it is also somewhat “old”
