For a 1-2 night stay, this property suited our needs. It is a hostel, so there are a lot of people who come in and out of the property. The bar area was lively and fun, there were lots of people from all backgrounds and nationalities hanging around, playing games, and conversing. The rooms were fairly basic and clean, linens and towels were provided in the lobby. Being that this was our first time at a hostel, we didnt expect that we had to fix our own beds, but it wasnt that bad. The property itself is about a 15 minute walk from the Copenhagen central train station. There is also a bus stop that is 5 minutes away. We were in Copenhagen for only two nights, DanHostel fit our needs.

The staff in the hostel are very friendly and helpful especially Tao. The location is perfect if you’re taking the train to Copenhagen. It’s a walking distance from Tivoli Park as well as Christiansborg Palace. I had a very relaxing stay in DanHostel. I highly recommend it if you’re planning to visit Denmark. Cheers!

It was very easy to reach by bus or train from the airport as it is only about 5 blocks from the bus stop. It is very easy to walk to the old part of town and the water way.

Ok for an overnight stay
Good location, close to metro station and minutes walk from Tivoli. Friendly and courteous staff. Lacking females only dorms. No paper towels or hand soap in the bathrooms. While there is a bar, common area and a lobby, those spaces are separated and the set up is missing welcoming atmosphere. Its ok for an overnight stay, but for anything longer I'd look somewhere else.

Great stay, has everything you need and is in a very good location close to the centre. Very good value, room temperature was hard to control as it was warm and it got a little bit noisy but overall it was a good stay

Good basic central hostel
Great central location, basic accommodation as expected. Floors were a little bouncy! Good soundproofing on windows but needed to be open for ventilation. Motion sensor lighting was annoying as no way to override to turn off at night. Nice views over the river.

Sufficient but not ideal for family trip
Hostel where you make your own bed on arrival and strip the bed when you leave. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good but crowded. Elevator system was efficient but slow. Room was sufficient but hot and a bit dated on the 15th floor. This was fine for one night but I would not recommend longer.

Very large facility, excellent elevators. They could go a better job if getting the rooms clean and picking up all the unused towels. Very nice kitchen area, but one look in the frig told me never to store food there. Need better management of the frigs.

I don’t recommend this place to any of my family members or friends. Overpriced for what they offered. Uncomfortable and noisy. I have to make the beds, and clean the room. Bathroom not in good conditions and the elevator to small.

Good stay
Location is close to Central Train station, about 10 mins walk. Then about 15 mins walk to town center and main shopping areas. Our room has a very nice city view and very spacious. The bathroom is big and functional. Staff are very nice too.

I thought it strange that you receive bed linen at reception and have to make your own bed. There are no rugs or towels to put on the bathroom floor, no shampoo, soap, nothing.

Very dissapointing
Avoid unless you have the lowest demand for standards, and just need somewhere to crash. The building and rooms are old and need of refurbishment. The cummunal spaces and kitchen in the basement where awful. No amenities whatsoever, no fridge, tv, soap, water cooker, glasses - nothing. You can borrow cups but then you need to sit in a dirty basement kitchen as your not permitted to take anything to your room. Tiny elevator is a constant irritation. All you get is a bag of linens, and a tiny room with very uncomfortable beds. Only positive is practical location, an nice views from high floor rooms.

Please take into note that we're not a hotel, so if you request TV or kitchen in the room, then we recommend our apartments on the 17th floor, otherwise, our concept is simple living in the middle of Copenhagen. I stayed three days with my friend. The room was clean and big. The area around this hostel is easy to get around and close to the city center so it was quite easy to walk around. Supermarket is close too. Staffs are friendly. One comment I want to make is that we ordered morning buffet one morning and bought a ticket at the reception. There was only one man at the bar counter who is getting orders for coffee and handing out all dishes so on. We waited several minutes only to get some plates and cups for buffet. It would be great if they had more staffs at busy time, but other than that my stay was at this hostel was good.

Clean and modern, small room & bathroom. No transportation, no bus to go there, couldn’t find taxi, must call taxi and takes time I guess. Quite far from subway stations and walking around 20 minutes to get there
